The Roots Of Revelation Part 1

The book of Revelation contains many allusions to Chapters and Verses in the OT. To get a clearer understanding of the book it is essential to know about these. If we ignore the OT sources Revelation will not fully live up to its intended purpose and the reader is left with at best a partial limited understanding or at worst speculation and fantasy. I am not going to interpret any part of the book and do not have the time to copy out every part cited. I leave it to the reader to look them up. The verses quoted are not chosen by myself but copied from a list included in a book by a well known Author. This posting is intended to be the first and I hope to complete the whole book when time allows. The verse references are based on the KJV Bible unless otherwise cited.

It would be interesting to see the verses of revelation with their companion verses from the OT. Maybe someone will have the time to fill a few of those in.
