In Jn 1:1 God equates the word to himself and in Isa 45:15 it states that he is a God who hides himself. Also in Ps 78:2 it says there are secrets hidden and will be spoken in parables, which points to Jesus in Mt 13:34-35 speaking the hidden things since the "creation of the world". The creation of the world was in Genesis. In Isa 46:10 it says I make known the end (revelation) from the beginning (Genesis). Also in Mt 13 Jesus speaks about the kingdom of heaven in 6 parables and in verse 34-35 it says, he did not speak anything without using a parable to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet (Ps 78). So we can see that the answers are within God's word spoken through parables.
Knowing this, I want to show you something very interesting about the Sun, moon and stars. Many people think about these physically, but did you know that there is also a spiritual meaning? In Romans 1:20
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
invisible qualities=his eternal power and divine nature
Thus…
God’s invisible qualities … have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made
God is telling us here that his "invisible qualities" have been clearly seen and understood from what has been made. So in short, we can see that God created physical things so that we can understand the spiritual things and are without an excuse.
So as for the Sun, moon and stars what does the bible say?
In Gen 37:9-10
Then he had another dream, and he told it to his brothers. “Listen,” he said, “I had another dream, and this time the sun and moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me.” When he told his father as well as his brothers, his father rebuked him and said, “What is this dream you had? Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow down to the ground before you?”
Joseph said that the Sun, moon and stars were bowing down to him and his father actually interprets the dream and says “Will your mother (moon) and I (Sun) and your brothers (11 stars) bow down before you?” The family of Jacob/Israel are the chosen people of God. Thus, the Sun, moon and stars spiritually refer to God's chosen people.
What about Mt 24:7 Famines, Earthquakes, Nation against nation and kingdom against Kingdom?
For the sake of length, I will only discuss famines.
In Amos 8:11
“The days are coming,” declares the Sovereign Lord,
“when I will send a famine through the land—
not a famine of food or a thirst for water,
but a famine of hearing the words of the Lord.
We see here that the famine is spiritual as well, meaning a lack of God's word.
From Jn10:35 we see that scriptures can't be broken.
Due to length I will stop here, but the deeper (spiritual) meanings do not stop there we still have earthquakes and Nation vs Nation and Kingdom vs. Kingdom.
