What is selfishness?

• “The merciful man does good to his own soul, but he who is cruel troubles his own flesh.” (Proverbs 11:17).

Many people think that selfish is those who think only in themselves. Nonetheless, see the verse above. The good man does good to his own soul. After all, how can he do something good if his innermost being is empty?

The great problem with the humanity is exactly the opposite: they didn’t care about who they really are and, obviously, what they need to fulfill their mission. In virtue of this, they muck about trying to find something that can fill their heart of peace, joy and love. When they find someone that appear to have all these things, they, outright berserk, bulldoze their way through what belongs to the other to get what seems to be the solution of all their problems.

Nonetheless, if they mulled over “What did Jesus create them for?”, they would see that the true peace that they seek only can be gotten when we harmonize in the Truth with people around us (see Mat 18:18-20; 1John 2:9-11). Only when we are able to get into the eternal tabernacle that make up Jesus’ Bride (Her heart) and vice-versa we can experiment the true love and, obviously, the Creator’s elation (Nehemiah 8:10).

Unfortunately, Ha-Satan brought people around his macabre ideas so that they agreed with trying to build his kingdom in this world in exchange of some crumbs of pleasure. To get triumph in this, Ha-Satan made them forget their identity before Jesus and what appertains to them freely when they follow the terms of their alliance with the Creator (Psalms 25:14).

So, have a good day investing your time in finding out everything about you in the heavenly regions (see Eph 1:3; 2:6) and letting people to know everything about you (or, to be more precise, know everything that Jesus is in you). Be happy shining Jesus’ light like a star in this world in darkness (Daniel 12:3; Philippians 2:14,15; Isaiah 60:1).
