What does it mean: your desire shall be to your man? (Part 2)

In other words: before the sin, if the desire of the woman was to her man, this would add in his life (and only to his life) all the good that the Creator put in inside and outside her.

After the sin, this became a problem. Now, the man needs, not only fight against his bad and deceptive heart (Jer 17:9), but give his life so that his wife can be clean of all uncleanness (Eph 5:25-27).

And, of course, now the man needs to fight against himself and have great patience and forbearance enduring all the ill-treatments of her until Jesus’ work is done.

Fortunately, the Creator abled the man to overbear her. If the woman submits to this treatment of Jesus and the man persevere until the end, both will overpower the sin and will be a happy couple.

One of the things that the Creator allowed in order to remind all mothers that they conceived in concupiscence (sin) was the multifarious sorrows of childbearing. As, nowadays, the women bear few children, they forget very soon the sentence that weighs upon them, making the marriage more difficult.

Furthermore, once the desire of the woman shall be to her man, this means that she passed to demand more attention of him, what will choke the man if he didn’t stay filling of the unction of the Holy Spirit.

On the one hand, this is good to force the man to seek in Jesus more frequently, beyond occupy the time of the woman so that she doesn’t find more time to “gossip with the serpents” of this world. On the other hand, this can be the cause of many distresses, squabbles, etc.

But the Creator allowed this conflicts in order to preclude all complicity in the error (recollect Adam hearing the voice of the woman – Gen 3:17). To figure out this, see the verse below:

• Gal 5:16,17 -> “But I say, Walk by the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are contrary the one to the other; that ye may not do the things that ye would.”.

The idea of the marriage is that the man can’t be successful in anything contrary to Jesus and His will for their home. The woman was put in his life to hinder him of running after his bad desires (and vice-versa).

They only should be able to reach an agreement when the wish of both is the Holy Spirit’s wish too.

And the sentence on the man “By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread” (Gen 3:19) should recall the man that his dreams, wish, plans, thoughts, feelings are bad (Rom 3:9-18) and, thus, instead of staying like a machine trying to gain all the world, he should concerned about gain their soul to the eternal life (Mat 10:39) (especially because everyone will die).

So, the tiredness is to remember the man that he needs to dedicate more to hear Jesus’ voice in order to supply all necessity of life of her wife so that she can be a fruitful vine in the life of the children and, thus, together, all the family can be used to fill the Earth of the glory of the Creator (Hab 2:14).

So, have a good day cope with your spouse in the Way so that your marriage can reach the purpose of the Creator: save your souls and glorify His name wherever He guides you both.

Have a good day in Christ Jesus.
