What is our source of amusement?
When we watch TV news, what is our reaction? Considering being the focus of this programs disasters and criminality, we turn off the TV and, crying, pray to Jesus for the victims, or we eat and drink while the TV newscaster presents the program?
When we watch comedy movies, what does it happen? We cannot bear any reproach against our neighbor (Psalms 15.3) and turn the TV off, or do we laugh about the misfortune of the naïve character?
And when a mishap take place, what does it come into our mind? We go with alacrity to help, or stop to record this moment in order to share on the Facebook and amuse with the friends commenting about this?
May Jesus work in our heart so that we feel nauseous or sad always we see someone being disparaged, humbled, laughed at. Have a colorful day rejoicing to do what is pleasant to Jesus’ eyes and delighting in contemplating people being blessed.
- “When wisdom enters into your heart, and knowledge is pleasing to your soul; judgment shall keep you, understanding shall keep you, to deliver you from … those who ... rejoice to do evil and delight in the perversities of the wicked;” (Proverbs 2.10-14).
