I'm guessing you mean on your profile? Just because someone looks at a profile doesn't mean they're looking to add you. Some people just float through profiles. Also, each time a profile is viewed it counts as a hit. Including when you go to your own profile.
I rarely send out friend requests. And i turn down at least half of requests i get. And i keep my friends list clean out. My profile has over 25,000 hits. Doesn't have anything to do with number of friend requests. Some people just randomly send out friend requests to strangers just to get a bigger list. The only really valid ones are people you have interacted with. And that requires you getting involved in chats or forums.

I myself dont send out requests. people tend to think of a friends list as some compitition "oh look at me I have 10,000 friends" like on facebook or myspace. I could care less if I have 0 or 100.

I've made some real great friends without having to chat on forums or chat with them for a specific amount of time. People make some pretty good friend in all sorts of different ways.... If some time down the track your friend isn't what you thought they'd be, there's a block/delete button easy as that!
I'm really not interested how many hits people had on their page/profile or how many friend requests they've knocked back, that's their business and what friends I look for and how I go about it is mine!!
Cheers!
