"Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by."

The angel of the LORD is giving Joshua the high priest a charge or a commandment to perform the duty set before him. He is to keep the house of the LORD holy and undefiled and to judge from the LORD'S house accordingly. If he keeps the charge set before him, then he will be given a place to walk among the mighty men of God that went before him such as Moses, Samuel, Elijah, Isaiah and others.

"Zech. 3:8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH."

The holy and righteous men of God are the beloved of the LORD and honored by men. They are the forerunners of he who is to come. The "BRANCH" is our Lord Jesus Christ.
"BRANCH" refers to the rod (almond branch) of Aaron the high priest that budded, bloomed, and yielded almonds (Num. 17:8). It's symbolic of the resurrection and return of our great high priest, Jesus Christ.

"Jer. 33:15-16 In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land. In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness."

These verses are also a prophecy of our soon to come Lord Jesus Christ.
