Christian women (or men if you want to pitch in) what is your stance on abortion?

I watched a 30 minute film called 180, if you are for abortion chances are after watching this you will change your mind.

As a Christian it is never right to have an abortion, but what do you guys think?

I personally could not never do such a thing, but I have friends who have, and they feel great guilt, I believe if someone has, that the grace of God
is sufficient to forgive, but I have also heard stories of people beating their children to death ect, seems it would have been better for them not
to have children, or if someone does not want a child, why not let someone adopt who would love to be a parent, children are a gift from God!
They are a blessing!

Abortion it's not a right decision ,abortion is murder and murder is a sin .
Exodus 20:13 - You shall not murder

Well, my position on abortion stems from the story of my life. My birth mother was 18 when she found out she was pregnant with me and when she told her mother, she was told not to tell her father because he would disown her. So she moved to another province so others back home would not find out she was pregnant. Her boyfriend didn't want anything to do with the pregnancy so she was on her own. She managed to work while she was carrying me but after I was born was another story. Two months of trying to work and raise a little baby and make eds meet and she found she just couldn't manage. Instead, she gave me up for adoption because she wanted a bette life for me than she knew she could provide. I was raised with this story in my new family. My adoptive mother would have me crawl up on her lap and she would rock me and cuddle me as she told me the story of my mother who loved me and so desperately wanted to keep me more than she could. My adoptive mother would then say that I was one very special little girl to have two mothers that loved me so much. So where would I be had that scared 18 year old mother chosen abortion?

I am not "for" abortion, I personally could never have one, I don't believe it should be used as birth control by any means, but it shouldn't be for me to decide what another woman can or cannot do with her uterus, nor should the government.

Abortion is murder. Anyone who disagrees needs to watch a video and see what an abortion and an aborted fetus actually looks like. By the way... the word "FETUS" is the latin word for BABY.

I have seen abortion in person. The videos are anti-abortion and dramatize events. It is not hard to find videos. What is difficlut is to find something valid and peer reviewed.
(edit) Sometimes abortion is better for everyone involved. Before you say it is a sin, why did God allow us to develop the technology to make abortion possible? If he knows you in the womb he knows the outcome.

Abortion is murder, but sometimes it may be better for the baby to be with the Lord than suffer with the mother. Abortion isn't any worse than any other sin; sin is sin. I'm pro-choice, but don't believe in abortion as birth control. The reason I'm pro-choice is because I don't have a say of what a mother does with her body; it's between her and God. I think a lot of Christians spend too much time harping about the children that have died through abortion, but not worrying about the children who are living and suffering. Most people just complain about abortion and that's it; when they should try to help children who are living.:)

Hi everyone, I'm sure that my opinion on this subject will not change anyones mind as to what they already believe, but here's my two cents....
I personally don't think I could every have an abortion, but........this has come up many times in bible study with others and I know the quilt and
condemnation that it can bring upon someone who has had an abortion in the past, and I don't like it........ It can be a huge stumbling block to someone
who wants to follow Him, especially when your own brothers and sisters in The Lord do the judging based on feelings and not real fact.

So.....needless to say, I sought The Lord on this issue and this is what He has shown me.........

First of all I believe God's forknowledge must come in on this... Secondly....The Lord showed me that without Him there is NO life...Physically or
Spiritually. When we see the videos of the fetus, and the forming of it, and the growth in the womb it is a very poweful image. But and this is a
Big But.....You are viewing only the Flesh, the shell, it is completly sustained by the life of the mother in everyway. Even the heartbeat, is still only
flesh and blood. We as Christians need to understand the difference, as it is written in the beginning until God breaths His breath into that shell
there is NO LIVING SOUL present as an individual, so until the cord is cut and the child is breathing on its own... according to The Word, it could not live,
it has no life of its own apart from the mother. So according to what I have seen I Don't believe we should judge so harshly, I have seen the damage that
it can do to someone who really wants to Know the Lord, do we really want that on us, I don't think so.
Just my thoughts, take em or leave em.
Blessings

I personally believe abortion is wrong. There are situation where I can understand why someone would choose abortions, however statistically, that is less than 7%. The only time were abortion may be the only choice is with a ectopic pregnancy.

Man also developed the technology of fire arms and weapons, it doesn't mean the Lord wants us to kill each other. Man has developed a lot of things and he has been able to because God gave him free will to do things on this Earth, but it doesn't mean all of it is good.

On the topic of abortion, I'm against it. I'm surely saddened to see girls going thru hardships of unwanted pregnancy, but I still can't agree to a murder. We have our own logic which sometimes we twist to defend our actions and feel good about them, but God is the ultimate judge who decides with righteousness.

I think it's something that needs to be left up to the individual.
