If you think that the fetus has no sensations until 28 weeks, look up Abby Johnson on YouTube

Pregnant:
if your critical ability to stay alive is an issue, sit with your pastor and doctor and have them tell you straight to your face your options. otherwise, if the act of sex which you know good and well is the best direct course to producing a human being is just exactly what happens, then you are going to have a child. i suggestion you look up the words clinical abortion, view some of the radical right-wing (it's prejudiced, horribly one-sided, graphically disgusting, but mostly factual) video, and sit down with some teenaged and adult people that are "oopses" and "rape-babies". many of them are muchly loved, and part of happy family environments, and wistfully glad their parents weren´t "Baby killers". (my words)
i have an adorable doll of a great granddaughter today, because my raped daughter trusted our faith 32 years ago.

Once the cord is cut, and the baby is breathing on its own, then you know that God has breathed His breath
into it and it now has become a living soul.

Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

But until this happens, in the womb its still sustain by its mother totally.

Christian women (or men if you want to pitch in) what is your stance on abortion?

I watched a 30 minute film called 180, if you are for abortion chances are after watching this you will change your mind.

As a Christian it is never right to have an abortion, but what do you guys think?
I would rather say that throughout the Bible God speaks against killing. One must understand that life begins at conception, that is 72 hours after sexual union. I do not believe one can tell whether she will be pregnant within these hours. Honest scientists agree that life begins at conception when others say that it is only a blob of blood.

Now, if we all agree with the fact that life begins at conception (72 hours after mating), then we cannot deny the fact that God tells us in Exodus 20:13 "You shall not commit murder."

I, therefore boldly declare that ABORTION IS MURDER. Whether many people are for it, it is will not stop making abortion to be murder.

I think it's wrong to take a life when another's life is not at risk of being lost. If the mother's life is at risk and the only way to save the mother is to kill the child, then the option should be open for killing the child. Not an easy choice, but that's the gist of my opinion.

I'm pro-choice - it's up to the female in the end to do what she wants to do with her body. I stand strongly by that belief.

On another note, I think abortions are awful. It's preventing a life from coming into the world.

I agree. Pro-choice isn't saying abortion is right; it's just saying that it is the mother's choice

I am not "for" abortion, I personally could never have one, I don't believe it should be used as birth control by any means, but it shouldn't be for me to decide what another woman can or cannot do with her uterus, nor should the government.
The Baby is not apart of the uterus. The baby is not an organ of the mother, but has totally separate DNA.

Abortion is murder, murder is wrong according to the Bible, if you dont wanna keep your baby put it up for adoption, nobody has the right to decide who gets to live or die, that is Gods job

I remember vividly both times my children were conceived. Something greater than me happened, and I knew a child had been conceived (with the same certainty that I have for a prophetic utterance.

To me it's not just a flesh and blood issue.

The greater burden will always fall on the woman, and we as a society have to recognise that fully, and provide, immediately, in abundance.

It seems to me a lot of people think that there is a difference between abortion and murder. And they'd be right, but not in the way they expect. The only difference between abortion and murder is that abortion is murdering someone who is unable to defend themselves. It makes me sick!

By the way, the first conception, my son, was unplanned. I was not a Christian, but I put aside all my self-concerned plans and became a father. Looking back, to say I have no regets so understates the joys the Lord has given us.

I am not a woman, so I don't know, but I wonder why so many women choose the men that they do.

Abortion=murder. Period.
Amen to that. Jeremiah 1, verse 5 says, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart;..." To my way of thinking, that leaves little room for doubt as to when a fetus becomes "human".

I have said it many times here; the times may change but God never does.

Man also developed the technology of fire arms and weapons, it doesn't mean the Lord wants us to kill each other. Man has developed a lot of things and he has been able to because God gave him free will to do things on this Earth, but it doesn't mean all of it is good.

On the topic of abortion, I'm against it. I'm surely saddened to see girls going thru hardships of unwanted pregnancy, but I still can't agree to a murder. We have our own logic which sometimes we twist to defend our actions and feel good about them, but God is the ultimate judge who decides with righteousness.
And yet many have killed in the name of God. Look at the crusades (i realize these were before guns).
I had a teacher who had previously been a social worker. We discussed abortion. She told me that there were some kids who should have been aborted, they should not have had to live in what they lived in. And as for adoption as an alternative...do you know how many kids end up in care and don't get adopted?
I disagree with abortion as an alternative to safe sex but I am 100% pro-choice.

You realize that some sick human being will someday claim that by this logic we can start killing street urchins.
