Hey, everyone--I was hoping you would share some Scripture God used to speak to you in this past week or so.

I'll get us started. For me it was Psalm 32...all of it, but these words, as always made me sooo happy! :

"How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven,Whose sin is covered!
How blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity,
And in whose spirit there is no deceit!" (verses 1-2)

And these words reminded me of when the Lord first spoke them to me, many years ago. Although I am sad to say I still need bit and bridle sometimes :( , may the Lord be praised He has sufficiently changed me that it's more rarely needed now. ;) (isn't it good to look back and see the work God has done in us?)

"I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go;I will counsel you with My eye upon you.
Do not be as the horse or as the mule which have no understanding,

Whose trappings include bit and bridle to hold them in check,
Otherwise they will not come near to you." (verses 8-9)

Just so happy to know He will instruct me and teach me and counsel me...with His eye upon me! I hope I will continue to draw near to Him...nearer and nearer, dear Jesus!

I have been impacted by a lot of verses, now i remember these :

Ephesians 6:10-18 (Armor of God)

Proverbs 20:13 "Do not love sleep, lest you come to poverty; Open your eyes, and you will be satisfied with bread."

James 4:7 "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you."

Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Here are a few that speak to my heart...

2 Cor 4:18
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

2 Cor 3:18
And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

Romans 12:1 and 2 have been helping me immensely in finding out what God's plan for me is.

Romans 12:1-2
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable will of God."

Specifically, God has changed me A LOT with the renewing of my mind. It's simply wonderful.

Acts 2:21 - my signature

"whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be saved."

There is salvation by calling on JESUS name. There is also saving from situations, sin by calling out.
I once stood on a metaphorical cliff with one foot hanging over about to fall into dreadful sin. I cried out
from my heart, belly, my innermost being "JESUS! Please get me out of here!" HE was there in a heartbeat
and I escaped. I'll never forget that moment.

When confusion sets in this always gets me back on track:

Matthew 6:19-21

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

The bible verse that has been on my heart this week is 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8. It's my signature at the moment. I feel that the Lord is just showing how I need to love others, like He loves us.

Reading through the previous posts has really been a blessing! Great idea for a thread!

One verse that always seems to get me throught periods of struggle is
Romans 12:12" Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer."
I have done this and it has be proven to me time and time again. Gotta love God's word :)

What stood out to me earlier today was 1 Corinthians 13:1-3. The reminder of the significance of love was much needed for me :)

"If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing." -1 Corinthians 13:1-3

Colossians 1:17 "He is before all things and in Him all things hold together."

This idea is repeated throughout the Bible, but it's written there so succinctly and perfectly. I've seen how true this is in my own life very clearly...when I wander it all falls apart.

You are Saved by: James1:21-22
Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

The Receiving with Meekness is Repentance with godly sorry. The Implanted Word is what you Obey.

FAITH IS OBEDIENCE TO THE TRUTH, A WORK, YOU DO NOT OBEY, YOU SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES.

Eze 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

This currently is such a comforting verse in my life. The Lord is with us in every situation and always teaching us. I love that we have the Holy Spirit to not only continue to teach us, but to helps us recall what we have been taught. Praise God!

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

1 Peter 3:8-17
8Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. 9Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing. 10For
Whoever desires to love life
and see good days,
let him keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from speaking deceit;

11let him turn away from evil and do good;
let him seek peace and pursue it.

12For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are open to their prayer.
But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

13Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good? 14But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, 15but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, 16having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. 17For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God’s will, than for doing evil.
