I particularly like to sing songs where I can hit high notes. I find this satisfying, as if it's therapeutic. Unfortunately, I've found that I sound most like Tiny Tim lol. I used to imitate him often until one day my dad told me, "It's disturbing how you sound just like Tiny Tim. Please don't do that anymore."
so phunnneee! indeed, truly, singing is therapeutic. i learned how to sing to cure my asthma & it worked. it's in an older posting of mine. no more asthma! actually, i'm not a singer, probably never could be, but i sing for the same reasons you do. if i'm in an off mood i sing driving down the road & i tell you, so refreshing it is, it just takes the unsettling mood from you & scatters it in the atmosphere! you remind me of a friend of mine who took vocal lessons & his teacher taught him that you can never learn how to hit a higher note than you already can hit. i flat out told him i didn't believe it. 1 week later, i was hitting higher notes.

I used to work overnight with a lady who liked listening to a station that played 70s music. It wasn't really my kind of music. It was disco and I'm more of a rock and roll person. I'd still have fun though. We counted money and processed checks all night. She'd do the set down job and I'd do the stand up job (she had limited mobility and I liked being able to move around). Anyway, whenever You Make Me Feel Like Dancing by Leo Sayer would come on, I'd turn into Leo and hit all the high notes. Meanwhile, Lucille was enjoying the "concert" and giggling hysterically. I kinda think she couldn't wait for Leo to come on the radio! I'd also do this with the Bee Gees, but I seemed to be best at Leo Sayer. It's probably terrible that we had so much fun during the nights we worked together lol.

no, no. it must be a great memory. my favorite music is the 60's to 80's rock. i like almost anything out there except rap. winter time, it's Bach, Beethoven, Rachmoninov, Tchaikovsky, Strauss, Mozart, Brahms, etc. & old. country music. my fav to drum to is any rock that is difficult to play: Zeppelin, J. Tull, Deep Purple, Yes, etc. you are smart to sing high because it's tougher to do so. off to drumming right now CarriePie.
