Yeah I know He wasn't born in December. :) But do we really need a specific day to celebrate his birth? Not really.
I agree that we don't need a specific day to celebrate His birth.

Yet the majority of Christianity does make a specific day to do so.

The Bible does not tell us the exact day of Jesus’ birth, but it gives us clues.

Theory Based on the Biblical description of Zechariah’s service in the temple, some scholars believe he served during Yom Kippur (in September or October). This means John the Baptist would have been conceived in September or October.
That theory is based on the presuppositional assumption that Jesus was born in December. There are two objective theories both referring to Chronicles and they give Jesus' birth as in the beginning of Nisan (March - April) or during the fall feasts (September - October).

The pagan spirit of Xmas (yes I intentionally took Christ out of Christmas) is a season of drinking, gluttony and excesses. We Christians have tried to put Christ into the pagan season, but the pagans and atheists have beaten us on this score.

We don't need a special day to celebrate Jesus' birth, but at this time of year I personally prefer modifying Hanukkah and thinking of the symbolism of Jesus in that season. Jesus celebrated Hanukkah in John's gospel. That is what I prefer to focus on. Lighting the eight candles symbolizing Jesus and the Holy Spirit upholding us is more Christian than the spirit of this pagan season.

The spirit of this season is not Christ.

Ibelieve all days belong to God! (This is the day that God has made!) Then you turn arround and call it aday of of dumb idols!! There's no day that belongs to a pagan Idol! One thing stands out, we should celebrate the birth of Jesus! Choose any date! Just hope another pagan god won't claim it to be his! By the way is there any god at all other than Yaweh!! All this people call pagan gods are acreation of man! There's only one God,the maker of heaven and earth!!
