I think if a man and a woman accept their roles as Christ intended, they will function as an impenetrable force that will stand up during trials.

My wife and I functioned as rehab home leaders in the mission field. At first, we had women with children in the home. Later, we moved the women into their own home and fostered children in the main home. Later I also opened a men's home.

If the man properly loves the woman, he will almost have her on a pedestal. If a woman or child stood up against my wife, that I would consider worse than standing up against me. I would tell them when my wife says something, it is law. You'd better obey.

We would get together when alone and lay out our strategy on how to handle things. We never argued or disagreed in front of someone else. It is better to go along and later discuss it if we did not agree on something. My wife never felt second rate during our time together, she felt empowered.
