I feel like God does not want me to do the online dating sites. A year ago a new Christian Singles Group formed in my city and I felt a nudge to go, I didn't give in until 6 months later. I've enjoyed meeting new people, and have made new friends with several special ladies. It allows me to meet men but in a group setting which I feel is safe for me. I'm now serving that ministry and my focus is helping others rather than meeting men. I trust God to bring me the man he wants me to be with, so I don't need to go looking for one.

Just take it sloooow. It takes about a year for someone to take off the mask and be their self.

It would seem to me that anything you do is okay, as long as lust doesn't enter the relationship.

Sure! How did you do it twenty years ago? It probably hasn't changed all that much. I think people are more likely to find lasting relationships by doing it the same way you used to; face to face. There's enough distance between people because of technology, don't add to it.
