I'm praying for you and your daughter. I'm a child therapist and it sounds like you are spot on with your approach and understanding. These are just some additional avenues to consider, but instead of contacting CPS, call your attorney and ask for a custody review based on best interest. The immediate concern being the health and welfare of your daughter. Secondly, some states have various mandates for consent for treatment. I'm not sure where you live, but some states allow for children as young as 14 to make their own decision. She will of course have to want it, which sounds like a challenge at this point. I'm sorry you and your daughter are going through this. I use DBT with my clients with BPD and it's fairly effective but it takes a LONG time and a lot of tx. I know it's hard to take her behavior and the way your daughter is treating you as a compliment, but it actually speaks volumes about how much she trusts you. When kids know that someone loves them unconditionally, that is almost always the person they treat the worst. They tread more lightly with those whom they do not have that level of confidence. While I do not know you guys or your situation, I would say that your daughter has not forgotten your good times. Right now, this memory lapse is serving her purpose for victimisation and being used to validate her choices. You keep being the parent you have always been. Be consistent. I'm sorry to say it will likely get worse before it gets better, but you have a lot of prayers from all of us coming your way. God's got you both! Hang in there
