This is so true and I have an example. Had a real difficult day on Thursday. Met with my son's high school counselor and he is in fact NOT going to graduate next month. It hurts that he isn't upset about it, and still wanted the easy way out of it, but waiting all summer to just go back another semester in the fall. But his counselor and I decided he would in fact go to summer school and get it done.

The hardest part was letting my sister know. She paid for his grad night ticket, paid for his cap & gown rental & announcements because I just don't have the money. We did this over a month ago when my son assured me he would actually graduate. She called last night before I got home, talked to my son and then called me later and let me know the "assignment" she gave him.

He is go donate the Grad Night ticket to someone who can't afford one. He is to donate the cap & gown also to someone who can't afford it. He then has to pay her back for the 4 tickets she bought for the graduation ceremony.

His dad and I decided he will work for someone at church, (yard work, whatever they need) and pay her back with that. AMEN!!! 3 people will benefit from this, and my son will learn a lesson of the consequences of actions, or lack of action.

Praise God!!!!!

Your sister is a blessing to both you and your son. Praise the Lord indeed! It does take a village. Prayers for your son to move ahead in a positive way. God bless.
