That scripture does not say the unbelieving is saved - it says sanctified.
I agree with your last sentence - if husband dies he is still condemned
.......
OP seems to be gone now
Yes, I know. It's why I contributed the link to the Biblical application of Sanctification.

Does it say otherwise their children would be 'unclean'

Its more for the childrens sake, if one parent is reprobate -is that the word? or unregenerate that doesnt mean the children are.

I dont quite fully understand that but while its difficult right now surely God has a plan for your children even if the husband does not.

Verse 14 is inaccurate as pertains to the true gospel. Which is why I earlier said the atheist husband is not saved because his wife believes.

The children are innocents in the eyes of God.
Paul's Pharisee training is seen in that group of verses.
Jesus did not teach that.

The atheist isn't a believing husband because of his wife's faith.

Yikes sorry to see this threat is causing a little tiff
my husband only said he is worried I’ll become “more” brainwashed after baptism because, in his mind, me being baptized will have some kind of affect on me (in my mind/ go to my head) in some way. Not in a superstitious way.
yeah I know it’s not the best logic but hey, spiritual things are foolishness unto the natural man. I can’t expect him to really understand it I suppose

..in terms of his salvation because I’m a believer I know this is not what sanctified means but only that my household (husband/children) is in a “better position” than if there were no exposure to the Gospel etc…
I believe children are saved by God grace before the age of accountability…
I think the full details of that is something that may be a mystery and not for our full understanding.

What a shame. How will you learn if you click because you don't want to?

Leave him alone already. Your delivery is making him not want to learn from you. Learn from Jesus - He didn't go around hounding people until they admit He was right.

I'm not hounding anyone. It was the opposite in fact. Please don't be judgemental when you don't know the facts . Thanks.

Since your husband has agreed to support you being baptized in September, waiting until then
does not sound like negotiating with Satan to me. You are making concessions to keep your
family together and not overwhelm your husband with too much change at once, for peace.
Having him be a part of the event as well, and allowing him to hear your testimony at the
time of your baptism, shows him that you are not acting rashly, but have come to this
decision thoughtfully, carefully, and would love to include him in the process.
Excellent advice! Let Jesus shine through your heart and actions and by your example, your husband may even want to develop a relationship with Christ and be baptized himself. Patience pays off eventually!

Be patient..God is going to wash all of you, not just your brain

Anyway whats wrong with a little brainwashing? Most people just only get their feet wet.

I dont know your husband, but humour could work
