I like to collect real life love stories of how people meet and the things that they love about their spouses.

Does anyone want to share?

We could look at the wonderful love stories in the Bible too :)

One of my favorite love stories is that of Jacob and Rachel. How many guys do you know who love a woman enough to work that hard for that long to be with her? :)

I was 14, very young for my age. He was 19. Minutes after we were introduced he told he would marry me. I went on a date with this “older man”, and found that I probably would marry him when I grew up. I told him I couldn’t grow up with him around, I asked him to leave town.

He stayed away, as I requested, although we saw each other about once a year to check in. We were happily married when I was 20.

I was 18 and in college when I met my husband. We were at a skating rink and he was kicking my behind at every competition. I was (AM) a serious tomboy and it wasn't sitting well at all. haha He was a very quiet, sweet, humble guy, so he wasn't gloating about it. Just smiling at me very sweetly...which was even more annoying. :D But he finally had me laughing about it.

We began talking and I though he was the cutest, smartest guy I'd ever met. I hadn't really dated much because I was pretty shy myself, but he really got my attention. :) He suddenly seemed a bit standoffish though and, at first I didn't understand why. Then I found out that he was 10 years older, divorced (his wife deserted him and his son) and in the military, but he didn't look it at all. He'd thought I was older and I'd thought he was younger. :)

In the end though, we dated for a few months and were married for 15 amazing years before he passed away. And I STILL think he was the cutest, smartest man I've ever met. :)

My story....

I was sixteen and he was eighteen. We met at a mutual friends house. He answered the door and locked eyes with me, we went into the house and sat down, he put his hood on over his eyes, and sat back in his chair while we were all talking. I felt he was rude and began to express that to him, even though I had never met him, he was laughing. After hanging out for that evening we parted ways.

The next morning, at eight oclock in the morning, I answered the phone and this guys voice asks for me. I ask who it is and he says his name and I ask J. who, he kept repeating his name. I asked how he got my number after realizing who he was and he said he called my friend and asked her for it. We spent all morning and afternoon talking and decided to get together again.

I was going shopping and he asked to tag along, while we were shopping I ran into many of my guy friends and he told my friend(girl) that he thought I would not give him the time of day. She told me, and I felt bad that I gave that impression. After returning from shopping, my friend left and we took a walk in the country, no street lights or traffic just the full moon above us. We stopped and were looking at the stars when he leaned over and kissed me.

I giggled and started to look at the stars again, as did he, when we saw a shooting star. I said make a wish and we both made a wish. A year later I asked what he wished for, and he said for us to have kids, get married and be together forever. I laughed and said I wished for the same thing, in the same order.

Guess what...we had a kid, got married and still are together right now, which seems like forever! We now have three kids!
We laugh about the beginning. I was telling him what to do then and still have to tell him what to do now, lol!
