My wife decided 38 months ago that we were done with any type of sexual intimacy. I've tried everything to accept it and pretend like it doesn't matter....but that approach isn't working well.
Hi bubbajudyHas your wife gone through any kind of sexual trauma in the past that hasn't been dealt with?

Umm this situation does go both ways. There are times men are the hold out, both sides are wrong.
It does, yet they are not family anymore. I can't blame the horse for not able to work if I don't feed her.

I don't have the experience you have with this kind of life. Being married that long. Having a woman give that much to you. It's a blessing. She is still with you. Hasn't left you. You are a winner. A lot of men out there who don't have what you have. You have to accept it for what it is.

I don't have a life partner, girlfriend, wife. Never had. But I would never want what someone doesn't want me to have. It's a gift, sex is. If someone doesn't want to give it to you, don't expect it. It's all I can say. Accept it.

Keeping praying and God will show you the way from that acceptance of your situation, what you have to do.

God bless you and your spouse.

Proverbs 14:1 says; Every wise woman buildeth her house, but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
A wife has the ability to build her family into something safe, strong, and beautiful. Something which can weather the storms of life. But a foolish woman also has great abilities. She can tear down the house she already has. She can gripe and complain, do alot of foolish things including refusing her hubby in the bedroom. We all make mistakes, a wise person learns from those mistakes and the mistakes of others.
That's why "aged women" are commanded in Titus 2 to teach "younger women" to "love their husbands to love their children". Because a wife can't give the children the love they need if she denies love to their dad. It just makes for a resentful dad and a home in turmoil. But in our feministic world, we are taught to mock and blame dad for everything. Don't be a feminist: be a Godly "aged woman". If you've made mistakes, learn from them and warn the younger generation of the pitfalls.

I hear alot of admonition for men to be "leaders" of their homes, and they are to be. But a wife is also to be a leader as well. We all are to "lead" but doing what we are supposed to be doing regardless of what our spouse does. That way, our spouse can see our Godly example and WANT to change their ways.
