I just wanted to give an update on Elijah to all you kind, dear brothers and sisters who are praying... I have seen many answered prayers in this past week and have actually seen Elijah and been able to buy him food and clothing twice; honestly this is a miracle. I also have had amazing opportunities to say the odd thing to him to guide him and he has accepted my words; he even gave me one of his apple pies in Mcdonalds.

It’s been a demanding, tiring week but one of progress, as purely by the Lord’s grace I have been able to make in-roads that were impossible 2 weeks ago.

This is spiritual warfare but the Lord is fighting for me and I have seen Him take down walls in this situation that only He could have. I am praying for more ways to be made, this coming week.
Glory to His Name.

With sincere thanks for your precious prayers. 🦋
I am so happy to hear this news, Butterflyyy, I am rejoicing on the edge of tears to hear how prayers are being answered and your beloved son Elijah is opening up to you. It sounds like he had a bit of a relapse in his attitude toward you after this, but it is often like that with addicts... two steps forward and then one step back. I pray he keeps moving forward...

I’m sorry I have to bring a sad update, but today I took Elijah for his tooth out. When I picked him up it was obvious he is still on drugs and he was not in a good frame of mind. On the way home the pain worsened and he became so aggressive, shouting and swearing at me so much he made me cry; he then shouted even more at me for crying. I was so afraid of him I had to get out of my car in the middle of a busy main road; I was in a dreadful state. He eventually got out of the car and walked to where he was going.
I am sharing this in the hope that you will pray... only the Lord can fight this battle against the powers of darkness, but I know He is greater than he that is in the world.
Bless you all.
Precious Butterflyyy - In Christ, you are a WARRIOR! You will not retreat nor be defeated because you love God and you love your son Elijah and God loves you and Elijah - LOVE NEVER FAILS - Love always gets the Victory! God is with you - do NOT be afraid by ANYTHING you see or hear - be led by LOVE, not Fear!

It's time to understand "Authority"........Satan and the kingdom of darkness is subject to God's Authority and Power. Man is also subject to God's Authority and Power, however, God has given Man freewill to make choices.

Our choices get us into trouble or get us out of trouble. Elijah has made some bad choices which has gotten him in trouble, BUT GOD is the Highest Authority and Power and is ready, willing and able to deliver Elijah but, Elijah has to choose God.

The battle turns the moment Elijah chooses God - Jesus Christ and becomes steadfast in his decision.

Elijah is going through puberty too which can be a very rebellious time due to hormones and when you add drug addiction to the mix.....it can get really bad, BUT GOD is still greater and willing and able!

God still holds Elijah at age 14 under your parental authority and his father's parental authority. At age 20, are children no longer under parental authority in God's eyes.

So, Butterflyyy - you have parental authority over Elijah and can speak and decree over him exactly God's Will even though Elijah is rebellious in his decisions, you still have AUTHORITY to speak LIFE to your son, in the Name of Jesus Christ! As Elijah's mother, you CAN stand in the gap and override and overrule Satan and the kingdom of darkness with your parental authority and your authority and power which God has given you in the Name of Jesus Christ!!!

DO NOT BE AFRAID! Fear gives Satan power over you and the situation. Reject FEAR!!!

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for forgiving Elijah for all his sins and washing them away with the Blood of Jesus Christ and thank You for giving Elijah the Body of Jesus Christ which is the Righteousness of God, in Christ.

Thank You for giving us power and authority in the Name of Jesus Christ - our Savior, Lord and King! All of us unite our faith in Jesus Christ and His power and authority with Butterflyyy's as Elijah's mom and demand Elijah be loosed from the power of darkness and walk in the Light of God! We decree clarity of mind to Elijah's mind and love for God to overflow Elijah's heart and mind and soul.

Father, we refuse to fear the enemy and choose to stand in our love for You and Elijah and Your Love for Elijah and us! We override and overrule Elijah's wrong decisions and demand and decree that immediately, Elijah is to be delivered from all the power of darkness and stop sinning and return to God, return to Jesus Christ - his Savior, Lord and King.

Elijah, be healed - emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually; and be filled with the Word of God and the Holy Spirit of God, receive newness of life, in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen!(y)

Elijah has had a lot of hurt and problems. He has not been home since December and is on drugs. He has been thrown out of the house he was staying in. Please pray he will surrender to God and be kept safe. With sincere thanks.
Yes of course..prayer is our most effective weapon. Many years ago and a young Christian I felt off the rail into drug and left the church..but my mum and sisters never stopped praying for me and things changed for me and God was with me protecting me from dying, being killed in a car crash ect..
So be encouraged my dear.God loves your son more that you will ever know and it would be an honour to pray for him.
Lord I ask of you to protect Elijah at this time in jesus name.Let your holy angels guard him and protect him the enemies plans and schemes to harm him.Guide this young man.Lead him our of darkness by your Holy Spirit into a place of repentance, reconciliation, restoration, healing and deep breakthroughs I him life in jesus name.Let him see that jesus died for him and that jesus is the only way.Use his life as a powerful witness to his friends who also need you in their lives...This I pray in jesus name.AMEN.🙏🏻🙏🏻

Went through this same thing.

Know exactly what you are dealing with.

I learned one thing

There is an anointing called the breaker anointing.

Wherever you see an ongoing area of being "run over" by somebody or a sickness or any ongoing impossible goliath, the breaker anointing is missing.

Ask God to send it. Nothing is bigger than our God.

Not only call it down, but prophesy over your son. Declare his pedigree and destiny.

Butterflyyy - you are a BEAUTIFUL MOM! Do not come into agreement with any negative thoughts about yourself as a mother.

Love God and everything God made - that means it's good for us to love ourselves in a healthy way because God made us and loves us! Elijah needs you to love yourself as his mom.

Be encouraged as Elijah's mom, your prodigal son will come home to his Father God and the Father will run to meet Elijah and give him a ring and a coat and welcome him back into the Family of God!

All things, even the bad - God turns them for good and Elijah's life and situation will be no different - it will all turn for good!

Dear Heavenly Father,

Break the chains that hinder Elijah from knowing and loving You. Give Elijah a deep hatred for drugs but a great love for his life and empower him with Your Word and Your Holy Spirit to overcome drug addiction and choose Life - walking, living and breathing in Your Life.

Bless Butterflyyy, reassure her that she is a wonderful mother and well able to intercede for her son and NEVER lose hope for Elijah because You hear her prayers and You hear her heart......You are listening and looking for faith, in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.(y)

-------------------------------------

To the enemy that wars against Elijah and his family, we command you to be silent, no more lies and taunts. We release God's Truth into the hearts and minds of Elijah and his family, in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen!

Can you please send the link where you got that statistic. I would like to read it. Thanks.
https://www.fatherhood.org/father-absence-statistic

They found that individuals from father absent homes were 279% more likely to carry guns and deal drugs than peers who lived with their fathers.

Okay, thank you for clarifying that for me. In your original response, you made it seem like all fathers were inadequately trained to be fathers. You said, "Father issues are one of the leading statistic to drug use."

We have to be careful here. All too often pastors preach a message of male inadequacy.

I lost my wife because she bought into this idea that I was not a good enough Christian man. She had an affair with a "much better, more respected Christian man." She wound up marrying this pillar of the community. And now I am relegated to a being weekend father.

I do not believe I said that but if it was confusing then I apologize. Obviously there are good men but also unfortunately the good men in our culture are becoming hard to find. I saw another study about dating. Our cultures attack on the family unit has now created generations of men children who are either taught masculinity is toxic or the music, culture, media, and education teaches them that the carnal behaviors of self pleasing is more important than thinking of others. The media shows the female as a tool just to be used and abandoned with no consequences because either abortion or no fault divorce will fix the problem. While equally the male was one portrayed as masculine and a gentlemen like Andy Griffith but now men are the joke and the women are portrayed as the mature almost motherhood type to the husband like the King of Queens comedy.

As more Americans turn to online dating and the #MeToo movement leaves its imprint on the dating scene, nearly half of U.S. adults – and a majority of women – say that dating has become harder in the last 10 years.

Most women who are currently single and looking to date (65%) say they have experienced at least one of six harassing behaviors asked about in the survey from someone they were dating or had been on a date with, such as being touched in a way that made them uncomfortable or rumors being spread about their sexual history. This compares with 50% of men who are single and looking. The pattern holds when looking at all women and men, whether they are currently on the dating market or not.

Hello Beautiful @Butterflyyy,

How are you today? Prayers are still going up for your son, Elijah.......be encouraged!

Hold fast to your faith in Jesus Christ and know that God loves Elijah and there's a "fence line"........God is watching Elijah and Elijah will only be allowed to go so far and then he'll hit the "fence." God will meet him there and bring him back home.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for hearing our hearts and our prayers for Elijah, thank You for keeping Your eye on Elijah. We pray he hits the fence SOON and You meet him there and bring him home - safe and sound.

Heal all the emotional wounds of Elijah from his childhood and help him to see his dad through Your eyes and understand his dad.

Give Elijah faith to believe and know that You love him and Your plans for him are good - a future of hope and blessing - drug free and empowered with Your Word and Holy Spirit to preach reconciliation to fathers and sons and deliver the captives from drug addiction.

We believe You have a purpose for allowing Elijah to go through all this mess, to empower him to help others, what the enemy means for evil, God will use for good, in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ, amen.(y)

Colossians 3:9-10
New International Version

9 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.

You know it is often out of the hardships in life we come to value the beauty. Transforming to the new involves the shedding of the old. But the old has still brought us to who we are. The new birth.

Elijah biblically wandered off into the wilderness with such mental and emotional turmoil he wanted to die. We know the wilderness was a dangerous place and especially being alone he was putting himself at risk. Intentionally by his actions putting himself in harm's way. God met Elijah where he was. And gave him exactly what he needed to finish the will of God. The will of God for everyone is to know God and let God be known. May it be the same for her son. Bring him out of the wilderness.

Well said, Roughsoul1991! I'd only add....... God wants us to know Him AND to love Him.

When we truly love God, we will be able to love all that He has made........ we will be able to love everyone, ourselves, and......even our enemies. We will love in a good healthy balanced way - the way God loves.

God is sooo good, I know He has a very ferocious side that is to be greatly feared but, oh my......His good side is sooooooo gooooood!(y)

good men in our culture are becoming hard to find
I disagree. Many of the young men today are ten times the fathers my father and grandfather were. They worked hard, yes. But there is a whole new paradigm for fatherhood today. A lot of young men are stepping up to the plate.

Is this a local observation or national? Our data for marriage, dating, and fatherhood are quite negative.
