it used to tear me apart (someone i know is still involved in it)...now i turn a blind eye and look the other way. It's the only way to survive without going crazy. I don't accept it, but pray for the person. It has to be their decision and you can't force someone to stop no matter how much it hurts you...just like drugs or alcohol. Hopefully one day this person will quit. They are in complete denial about how hurtfull it is. It's like trying to argue with an athiest about spiritual matters. It just doesn't work. But i'm praying for a miracle. He is a very, very stubborn man.

There would be very few men here that haven't used porn at one time or another.

What really helped me, was not all the emotional rhetoric, or even Talk about Jesus. (Because Jesus doesn't remove the temptation).

What helped was this movement called No Fap. Basically it's not religious, but based at looking at the practical and physical reality.

Mainly this, sex is better when you don't engage in regular masturbation and porn. Your system is healthier. Your sexual energy is greater.

So for me, being shamed into stopping didn't work...instead thinking about the negative consequences of doing, and the positive consequences of abstaining helped.

Home - NoFap

Because I found you can be as devote a believer as you want to be, but still trapped in a cycle of temptation.

Relapse occurs like anything, but it's about finding that balance, and focussing your attention and love on the wife.
