My ex husband suffers from PTSD. We have been apart for nearly 2 years and have a child together. During the past two years, I have prayed continuously for him because I know he was suffering and this past week he contacted me for the first time in months. He wants to see our daughter that he hasn't seen in a year and asked if we could spend some time together to see if we can have a relationship again. I was shocked so slowly I'm seeing my prayers are being answered. I don't know where this new road leads but I'm asking for prayers for God to guide me where I need to go. I knew there was a reason that I never stopped loving him and I have realized how impatient I am and pray that I will be patient with the work God is doing in my life. I pray this works out for our family so finally my daughter can have a dad. Thank you for your prayers.

Thats wonderful news! On a side note... not so important but I read your name before the actual post and expected a post from someone who was defeated, did not know the Lord and was indeed 'Lost & Lonely'...but your post says something rather different, someone who has their hope in God to rebuild their relationship and who is being patient, who loves their husband and Christ. Maybe think about a name change?? coz your name does not talk of Him and you are never lost or lonely when you are in a relationship with Christ :) Of course the enemy would like you to believe you can be...but we are to declare the Truth, not His lies. We are all to be a witness...all the time. I am sure many of us will be praying for you and that you can be re-united once more as a family. God Bless. <><

PTSD, it will take a lot of patience and love, for your husband to heal from that. I know a lot of friends who suffer from coming back from the war. they find it hard to relax and pretend to be "normal" but most really really want to be but feel like they don't deserve it. I hope he is getting some counseling to help him work through it.

We'll keep you and your family in our prayers.

May God give you the wisdom, patience and love to help heal yourself, your daughter and your husband so that you may be the family God intended you to be.
