Depends. Who do you celebrate? God, or Satan, or noone.

I would venture to say that most people celebrating it, do so for fun and treats. Neither God nor Satan have any part in their celebration. But, if you feel that you, even maybe, are celebrating Satan, stay as far as you can from it. Don't tempt yourself.

One family I know, calls it candy day. They go on the candy gathering mission with other children, but they add a twist. They trade a gospel track for a treat.

Another family puts a New Testament in a small bag of candy. If I were doing this, I would put a small book of Bible Stories in bags for small children.

We live so far back in the woods that we are not faced with the need to celebrate it.
if its based on kindness and generosity , id say that is fruit of the Spirit at work no matter what we label the celebration.
my community is almost entirely church based community. we will see our pastor out watching the kids tonight im sure.

I don't think we should. Our family (my kids) did not but I did when I was a kid. And I remember also my older sister toying with occult activities like seances and Ouija board during Halloween. Here is something from the Churchofsatan website:

My son stayed in on Halloween during the 1st covid scare. He was 2 and still remembers it... not fondly. My dad (anti Halloween) kept saying how terrible it was that he couldn't go.

So now I always take them and truthfully I love it myself. I get to see all the neighbors and kids. I enjoy walking anyway and it's an easy way to socialize. There's always something funny like my kids getting canned tuna as a treat and then trying to trade in the canned tuna for candy. 🤣

Holidays are what you make it. I'm not celebrating genocide or smallpox on Thanksgiving. Just trying to eat food with family.

Well, I helped out last night with a ministry giving away bibles and bible storybooks and coloring books. Many given out! Now we pray for those that took them. God can always make lemonaid from the lemons.

Maybe next year, if you feel the absolute need to take your kids out trick or treating, use the opportunity to leave Gospel tracts in return for the candy, dress in non-occult related costumes, and most of all have a talk with your kids about the reality of the spiritual battle we are in daily! The occult world is a real thing. Here are some more testimonies of folks who escaped it: https://unshackled.org/listen/browse-all-programs/?q=Occult&years=&lang=english&order=date-desc

I see it as just a bit of innocent fun. Creative fun too...since we were made in His image, I say why not be creative. Life would be pretty boring for me if I couldnt create. I just don't see anything wrong with anything if it does no harm to anyone. Love does no harm to anyone. I love seeing people dress up. I once dressed up as a tea bag.😊 ok I know that sounds crazy I blame my dad he helped me

was invited to a Light Party but had too much on and didnt go, I think churches generally put these on during halloween to stop children getting up to mischief. Apparently it involves lollies, games and face painting.

One time the day after Holloween, I found a teenager duct tapped to my B-Ball pole. I asked him why are you there? He said, I am not going to tell you. I said, fine, I will check on you later. I was not going to cut him down because I did not want to be sued for cutting him by mistake -- I told him that, and only his parents will do it. I called a few officals I know. Each came out from time to time to ask him what he did. First the Ordnance Officer, Fire chief, Police, EMS took turns. Finally, he admitted that he was breaking windows, egging houses and throwing rocks at people and cars. I asked him for his Parents phone number. I called them. His Dad came out and he soiled himself. Dad only cutted him loose from the pole. He told him you are not getting into my Car, you can hope home. Since, I had authorities out, no Judge took the case his Mom wanted to file.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to pay homage to a holiday that celebrates the dead and all things unholy.

Reminds me of a little Halloween story ..3:08 mark.
I want to hear a preacher use that line in a sermon. 😄

Once there was a boy who liked to throw things.
He started out throwing eggs.
Then he threw the big game.
Then he threw back a shot of whiskey.
Then he threw up.
Then he was thrown out of the house.....
Then he moved into a VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER!
