My husband and I married a year ago. We have a son. I had to move an hour from home once we got married to love close toy husbands job. I loved the church I used to go to. I love the pastor, the atmosphere, the body, and the children's program. However, I started going to my husbands church once I moved. At his church I don't get spiritually fed. The sermons are not a deep and I don't feel like I get much from the messages.

My husband works for the rail road and can not make it to church every Sunday or even Wednesday. We get to go to church together maybe once a month. I want to go back to my old church when my husband can't go, but he wants our son to have consistency. He is only 9 months now so I don't think the consistency part matters

Never the less. What I am trying to say is I want to honor my husband. I want to have a home church, but I am not getting what I need from the current church. What do I do!?

Greetings.

In experience, I have seen this.... You should take this opportunity to thank God for the "meat" you have received. When we are "placed" into places where it seems we have more to give than to receive, then we do just that. Possibly you are there to dispense some of what you have, to pour into someone else. Begin to expect opportunities to serve the spiritual need of others, to impart into others. Amen.

P.S.
This is the first year of your marriage; relax, enjoy the ride in God's Presence, and expect, even anticipate change. It WILL occur!

Congratulations on your commitment to honor your husband, and his church.

You can be faithful to that church and get teaching and fellowship from other sources. Teaching comes from reading as much as from listening. Personally I have been "fed' more from authors I do not know than from Pastors whom I do know. But Christian teaching is more than information - the student becomes like the teacher, there is a life-onlife aspect. Relationships happen in small groups and most towns have small groups for Christian women, but it may take some prayer and effort to find the right one. God has placed a holy path in front of you! Do not doubt His provision.

You can feed on the Word of GOD all week long.

Fill up on the Word of GOD and feed the folks at the church.

It may be that your fellowship with these people may be just in order.
