Hi Gods precious people.I had been deeply affected and touched by the events in my life and that others around me.In our lives we have all gone through various dark experiences before we were saved and after we were save that had been caused by someone else.
In my life a lot of things went completely from since my childhood because of the actions of one family member. The affects upon me and others we are still living with and with Gods help working through.
Sometimes our deepest life traumas can be traced back to just one main individual or several individuals whose choices and actions have been devastating and you have been affected by this. You know your past or even present circumstances and you know there are root issues that you maybe dealing with, traumatised by,living with the consequences of ect and you know the individual or persons responsible for it.
Have you been deeply wounded by someone in your childhood, adolescent years, adulthood. It could be a ex,family member,a parent,friend,stranger,school/college teacher, pastor, neighbour, close friend.??..You may well know who they are..?Are you stil deeply affected by what they did or didnt do?Forgiveness is something we need to do with Gods help...but often the damage they caused remains and you go through life deeply wounded by what happened despite forgiveness.Restorstion and healing is more needed..
Feel free to Express your heart in this post.God knows exactly what happened and wanted you to be free from the traumatic strongholds caus by what happened to you.
Does this thread describe you?
Have you been deeply affected by what an individual or persons did or didn't do that has deeply affected you emotionally mentally,physically..even socially ect??

Nothing good can come from dwelling on past hurts, trauma and disappointments. Cast your burden on Jesus. Let it go. Move on. Smile. Cheer up.

Ive been hurt by three teachers in a row when i was young, making me rather fearful. At the same time i strove to do well in school, so it must have had its up side. I shall not go into the details, but that is right, a big step is striving to forget the past and look at our goal, wc is life in union with Christ Jesus.

Right now i'm hurt a lot abt some things, people and events, but i have learned to run to the feet of our Lord, or if u'd like the idea of sitting in His lap as a child.. I listen to peaceful hymn music while working, and also sing or play along when possible, wc means i cut or interrupt what i'm doing tho=). Whatever, it allows to not dwell on false, wrong, bad.. all the opposite of whatever's true, noble, right, good.. lovely, admirable, praiseworthy.

Hi this isn't about dwelling on past hurts, disappointments and even traumas coz that would be detrimental to a person's well being.Dwelling on something is more about ones focus being on something or things as they say "living in the past"..and that constant focus and kinda reliving things in your head is just soul destroying.
I am refering to living with the actual consequences of things that have happened due to actions of others till this very day.Over many years God has made me very aware of the need of Gods work of restoration in people's lives in a very real way.I used tp be involved in thr ministry team in church praying for people and over the years have councelled many people..plus deep struggles in my own life too.Sometimes people need emotional healing, their self esteem restored, nightmares and a range of things they are living with till this day. It's not about any one dwelling on things...these are legitimate internal wounds that they live with and many struggle with everyday and sometimes they can be caused by the acts of others.
Remember the woman in luke13:10-17 who was alive and living her life but was unable to stand up straight for 18 years. She was literally unable to stand..bound in that position...She lived her life, went to bed, spoke to people in that bound position..God has shown me that there are people who are bound just like this dear woman.Bound by crippling fears, flashbacks, emotional and pyscological wounds and traumas ect who just like this woman. They go to bed with it,wake up with it,chat to friends with it..yet are crying out to be free..I did this post to let them know I care and to reinforce that God is aware too and that that don't feel alone in their experience.
This is the context of the post.Of course you're right that some things you just let go ect and move on.
This is about something much deeper than that..😊

Think I will agree with @tourist on this one. Most of the problems in my life are caused by Me, Myself, and I.

We all need to learn to take it to the Lord.

You are right too, though. Sometimes people need help and support from others. The word of God instructs us to help others and bear each others burdens. Sometimes it helps if people can hash it out and talk to others about their problems. It helps knowing that others care and are there for you. Anyhow, I think this is a good thread. Shows the love of God that you have for others.

Hi thanks for your kind words..yes i also have agreed with tourist that even in my life there are many things i am responsible for..like wrong reactions ect..👍👍
You are right also about the scriptural dynamic of carrrying each others burdens..life is never black and white it is more a series of Gray shades in between both..Jesus spent so much of his time ministering life, healing and deliverance to just so many people and there we just ordinary people judt like we are.
Aww thanks for appreciating this post.😊😊..yes people are important and God cares for our deepest needs.👍👍

The main source of my pain is my inability to forgive certain things in my past. I can blame a lot of people, but as an adult it's my responsibility to choose to be happy; to choose love over hate, and to do that I must forgive all as Christ forgives me.

Hi Gardenofweeden thanks so much for taking a look at this thread.I do appreciate it..😊Yes forgiveness Is a powerful thing. When we are hurt by others the internal wounds varied in depth just like a physical wound. The deeper the would the greater the pain..the greater the intensity..the longer if can take to heal.Any medical professionals will say that with any physical wound the most important thing to avoid is that wound becoming infected.Coz once infected the wound gets worse and takes longer to heal.
unforgiveness, bitterness ect have the same effect on inner wounds. It like spiritually infects the wounds within the soul and can make it harder to heal..and can make the internal pain much worse.
Yet forgiving those who did us wrong does alway mean the pain would automatically go...the affects of what happened requires God healing balm and in jesus name the healing does come with his help. There is always the cry for justice where there is injustice and forgiving other can feel like not holding them to account to what happened. So I do understand how you can feel this way and as jesus died for you in that broken state he died so that you can be saved and he also firgubec this who killed him.Forgiveness is a choice and takes courage and can be something God helps with on daily basis.
You have blessed me with your honesty and in your heart you are aware of what is required which can take real grit to let it go and trust God in doing that.I will pray that God gives you the courage and trust in him to be able to forgive and let him cleanse your souls from any wounds that need his healing touch.God loves you deeply and wants you close to him..Your freedom is a precious thing.👍😊😊😊

People can easily say 'move on" or 'forget about it' but if the trauma happened as a CHILD or even BABY and that person grows up not even knowing how to deal with it its much harder, to know why a person is a certain way.

That is why Jesus said suffer the children and forbid them not to come into the kingdom. I think as parents, caregivers, family members, teachers...we need to really be aware that there IS a power difference betweeen adults and children, and they are the ones who are most vulnerable to being hurt, mAny being defenceless and unable to fight back or say anything. Bullying used to be endemic to schools a few generations back up till even NOW big kids will pick on smaller ones and people often turn a blind eye. (not the other cheek, thats different)

what you do makes the difference. and God can and does heal any trauma because He is forgiving. Thank you for this thread OP.

Hi Lanolin I was blessed you read your comments.Yes you are right...many counselling sessions with adults in general often spend time talking about peoples childhood cox for many people things can happen at that time which impacts how they grow and relate to the world around them...it's only sometimes in counselling that the root causes are uncovered.God sees the things people have to live with and wants to set them free.
Fatherlessness has been a big issue for years..the list goes on..Christ died to set us free and give us a new chapter of life experiences...👍👍😊😊😊
I created this thread to connect with those who can identify with its content..as a way of connecting with the real self within them that God knows is there.
Traumas can most definatley also affect adults too via bad relationship, depressions even mental health relate issues (went to a day session about mental health in the church a few years ago)...I am glad for you taking time to check out this thread..Much appreciate you being here..👍👍👍👍

I can relate to this post, The root cause of my pain mostly came from (maternal) Grandma down to my mother and father. As years go by I asked God to give me the ability to see past the person and be able understand certain people and their situation, deliverance and forgiveness is the key to relieve this past pain and traumatic experiences and yes it is hard for some people but I think there is no other way out of this than that, If someone caused you pain that person was cause by someone else's also if you trace it back, I understand my mother because of my grandmother, but also I understand my granma because of her own mother... I can keep on tracing but there's only one way out and that is forgiveness, the way Christ forgave us, they can still hurt us even in the present but if you're done with it you can easily let go. It is easier for everyone around, Surely much easier for me to deal with it, it takes time and a lot of prayer and yielding to God and dying to self and selfishness.
Some people they don't know why they are the way they are and I guess if they knew they wouldn't like it also, but most of the time people are like that, we can accept or move on but not linger or hold on to the past, feelings or situation or you yourself will suffer and that is not good.
