If President Obama were to select this summer, a replacement in the supreme court with a man or women that was an admitted and openly gay individual with all the credentials, what could that mean for our country of which we live and are a citizen of? If God has given this individual over to a reprobate mind and has disapproved of every imagination and thought in their heart and mind, even the moral ones, how do you think they can effect the mindset of our country? They may have some practical input with civil and domestic issues relating to the Constitution, but what about the influence they could have with the weightier matters that involve the mindset and action that is taken in Congress to establish laws that accommodate the rights of its citizens.

They may only be (1) of nine judges but there is a precedent and sentiment already established within the framework and other laws to protect against any speech that would be considered to 'adversely effect' those that are considered to be a protected group. Just think of the possibility of one group being protected from another group. Example: The group labeled 'sexual orientation' being protected from another group 'religion'. Think of the ramifications of that and how it could effect our 'freedom of speech' in public, in private and in other settings that involve peaceable assembling of its citizens in a church setting or otherwise. What if you invite someone to come to our church as a visitor and the Pastor says something that 'adversely effects' their sensibilities and they are from one of those groups, and go away offended and report that to the authorities.

Shouldn't we be concerned not only as a believer but as a citizen that something like this could happen? Should we separate ourselves through complacency and apathy and just stand by and see it happen and say, 'God's got everything under control'. We have the freedom that we have today as citizens, because the Constitution provides that freedom. If things keep going in the direction they are headed, those freedoms may be compromised and legislated away and we may see pastors and believers being arrested and thrown into jail because of something they said from the pulpit or from some other setting. Something to consider.
