'The Holy Spirit is God’s power in action, his active force, of which is present within one's own self. Vacant of a spiritual awakening, a spiritual awareness
becomes unlikely to influence adequately. Spiritual harmony in a worldly atmosphere
requires a commitment of great discipline, and it is not meant to be easy, believe it.
God's work has been done, and until this is acknowledged and accepted, many are being
severely misled, 'faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see',
and it being a willingness to change, that shall often bring about things hoped for............
and this, the intellectual community too often is without spiritual maturity to relay an absolute,
that is essential.
Attempting to gain self-recognition by narrative dialogue, often presents harmful and misleading
interpretation, thus bringing cause of division and separation, and this cannot bring a unity unto Christ our Lord. 'For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform
great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect'.

' Many have a problem understanding the bible. The bible is supposed to be the word of God, but it is not written by God, but by man. God communicated to these men through vision/dreams/angelic messages/etc. and then it was written down by these men to later (not with intention) be put in the bible.' 'In the bible it states many times that man is fallible. If men are fallible, how can we hold faith to the bible without knowing if these men didn't misinterpret a message, or add/remove things from the message based on their own desires/bias/views/etc, or be false prophets (saying they heard God when they didn't, but they wrote a compelling story, so it was taken on faith)? It all comes down to faith, I know, but faith has been used by men in the past to corrupt and lie and hold power.'
'Not only can the stories of the bible be inflicted with this, but the bible as a whole was put together from different texts and scriptures, by man. How do we know certain texts/scripts weren't excluded or included (falsely) (especially based on the views and culture of the world then)? How do we know that, even if someone misinterpreted a message, that God didn't speak to someone else to try and get the correct message out there, but these people were called fakes/frauds/false due to the bible already being published and everyone having faith that the messages in the bible are infallible BECAUSE of faith.'
'Not sure that the entirety of the bible isn't this way and most of it holds true to what it claims to be, the word of God, but when men are in control, and not God, because God works through us, not Himself, how can we have faith in something that may not be true or not ACTUALLY be the word of God, but the word of man?

Spiritual/ Difference Between Ritual and Spiritual
Spirituality is something which is very close to a person’s personal convictions. We can refer to this conviction as one’s soul or integrity or belief. Thus, spirituality is like something you believe in your heart and soul. It is the desire to do what your most heightened unconscious asks you to do. We can also refer to it as one’s conscience. The desire to believe in something like God, religion, knowledge, meditation, kindness, enlightenment is considered spirituality. The desire to do what is considered is the perfect “karma.” It has nothing to do with religion, rituals, nationality, race, gender, etc.
Being spiritual means believing in something so strongly that nothing else can take its place. Some people who believe most in their inner selves and do not give heed to any particular kind of stereotypes are called spiritual. People who believe in something higher than themselves and still do not worship any specific God or religion often consider themselves spiritual.

' A materialist wants to change the present for a better future. A spiritual person makes peace with the present and learns to live in the present. A materialist wants to deal with the unpleasantness of his life with an intelligent and self-willed effort. He strives hard to secure happiness in this world, by creating conditions within himself and in his environment which has proven to be effective in the past. He goes by his experience and relies upon his strengths and abilities to make himself immune to the uncertainties of life.' ' A Spiritual person knows the consequences of choosing and controlling his life and destiny. He accepts the unpleasantness of his life as an opportunity to learn about himself and expand his awareness. He embraces the dualities of life without choice, desire and attachment. He opens himself to life and its innumerable opportunities and threats, secure in the knowledge that the world does not necessarily comfort those who seek comfort and offer security to those who want to be secure. Therefore, for him true control is having control upon himself, his actions and reactions.'

-And to surrender shall be found Love, Peace, joy and happiness here in the now, within self.......('A fulfillment here in the now')
-Failure to surrender shall be found selfishness, self-centeredness which promotes contempt,
arrogance, complacency, self-righteousness' and leads to the path of hatred, confusion, jealousy,
resentment and many unsavory attributes associated with these attitudes and behavior...here in the now, within self......

-"To be crystal clear, I believe with all the changes and interpretations of the Divine words, the objective truth is something that is true for everyone, whether they agree with it or not, and not to be tampered with. -Subjective truth being based on a person’s beliefs/ interpretations but not all people may agree with it. This kind of truth is present in things such as Christian religion/faith, and greatly tampered with by the man-mind.
-Lessons through 'inspiration of God' has influenced the solid basic principles of how our life should
be conducted, here in the now. And being witnessed across the 'lands' appears to be an abundance of strife!
(Strife is a strong and ongoing conflict over a fundamental issue. Strife is deeper than argument, broader than disagreement. Strife usually involves bitterness and sometimes violence. We see strife today often in the political realm, as candidates for office launch vitriolic attacks against their political foes. Strife within families can result in lifelong emotional scars. Strife between nations can lead to war. When strife occurs among believers, the church’s testimony is tarnished, and Christ is dishonored. The Bible warns against strife and reproves those who cause it: “It is to one’s honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel” (Proverbs 20:3; see also Proverbs 18:6 and 22:10). But avoiding strife is difficult; even in New Testament times, strife cropped up in the early church (1 Corinthians 3:3; 1 Timothy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 12:20). The cause of strife is underlying sin: “What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don’t they come from the evil desires at war within you?” (James 4:1, NLT).)

" EATING IN THE FIFTIES " (Being 'old school', we like to share a by gone era dear to our hearts) Pasta had not been invented. It was macaroni or spaghetti.
Curry was a surname.
A take-away was a mathematical problem.
Pizza? Sounds like a leaning tower somewhere.
Bananas and oranges only appeared at Christmas time.
All chips were plain.
Oil was for lubricating; fat was for cooking.
Tea was made in a teapot using tea leaves and never green.
Cubed sugar was regarded as posh.
Chicken didn’t have fingers in those days.
None of us had ever heard of yogurt.
Healthy food consisted of anything edible.
Cooking outside was called camping.
Seaweed was not a recognized food.
“Kebab” was not even a word, never mind a food.
Sugar enjoyed a good press in those days and was regarded as being white gold.
Prunes were medicinal.
Surprisingly muesli was readily available. It was called cattle feed.
Pineapples came in chunks in a tin: we had only ever seen a picture of a real one.
Water came out of a tap. If someone had suggested bottling it and charging more than gasoline for it, they would have become laughingstock.
The one thing we never ever had on or at our table in the fifties... was elbows, hats and cell phones.
KNOW THIS AND KNOW IT WELL!" Spiritual 'The Bible is a book written in many ways like any other, and can therefore be understood by anyone who is able to read. Yet the Bible is also unique, different from every other book, because it is inspired by God. The Bible is “breathed out by God” (2 Tim. 3:16). Its writers “Spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit” (2 Pet. 1:21).
'To understand what is written, therefore, we must have our eyes opened by that same Holy Spirit. The Bible says, “The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Cor. 2:14).
'A person can be intellectually qualified and educationally equipped to read and understand the Bible, but if his heart is not spiritually alive then he will fail to truly benefit from reading the Bible. Left to ourselves, the Bible’s contradiction of sinful living only evokes enmity from us. This is because “the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God” (Rom. 8:7)
It is prejudiced against his Word and thus incompetent to read it in the way it was intended to be read. In order to read and understand the Bible, then we must be regenerated (born again) by the Spirit of God. The Bible can certainly be read and understood at some level by those who have not been born again—indeed, the reading of the Bible may be the very means God uses to bring sinners to new life in Christ.
'Yet experiencing salvation produces in us both the ability to see spiritual truths in the Bible that we did not see before, as well as a new desire to submit to and follow its teaching. Along with being spiritually alive, we must also be dependent upon God himself as we turn to the Bible to read and study it. It is vital that we pray for light from heaven to understand its teachings, and also for God’s grace to apply what we learn (Ps. 119:18).
(" In this spiritual journey, I have learned the profound significance of spiritual discernment, bringing cause of my life striving to be more in tune with God, and God's 'principles' of life, here in the now. The Divine 'word', centered on an epic account of love and family life. Let us not be overwhelmed by the trials and tribulations, and to know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.") 'Praise God'

(Interesting article) A recent ABCNEWS/Beliefnet poll found 83 percent of Americans self-identify as Christians. But if 83 percent of the nation’s population is Christian, why do we have so many abortions and out-of-wedlock births, and so much divorce. And why is homosexual marriage now the law of the land?
In other words, why is sexual freedom trumping biblical sexual ethics even to the point that — now — our laws force the acceptance of sexual immorality? If so, much of the nation claims Christianity, shouldn’t that Christianity be reflected in the prevailing morals and practices?
One answer is that lots of so-called Christians are simply defining their own Christianity. In this same poll, the open-ended question, “What is your religion?” was asked. Among the self-identified Christians, there were 50 different answers. Most of the 50 affiliations cited are Christian denominations, ranging from the Assemblies of God to the United Church of Christ. But, when you drill down, you find that many of the denominations mentioned have strayed far from biblical orthodoxy on sexual and other matters. We’ve lost the cultural consensus that once held to a biblical sexual ethic. So, on the hot-button issues concerning sexuality, sin and selfishness reign in the culture.
If we ever were a Christian nation, we aren’t one now. Still, the vast, overwhelming majority of people say they are Christians. So, why don’t we, as a nation look like it?
I think it’s because so many Christians have a sort of fruit-salad understanding of their faith. Along with healthy doses of poverty-fighting and environmentally protective beliefs they’ll throw in tolerance for serial marriage, cohabitation and a willingness to easily jettison the God-ordained definition of marriage. We often find these fruit salad Christians really can’t answer questions about the basics of the faith.
In many of the 50 denominations cited in this poll, having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is not stressed. In others, that personal relationship doesn’t extend to obedience. My pastor says, “Faith has to be personal, but not personalized.” “Faith is not customizable.”
Some denominations have de-emphasized learning and reciting the historic creeds of the faith. Others are not formally catechizing (or teaching) members their historic doctrinal positions.
A creed is a statement of faith, of belief, not of required behavior. It says, ‘I believe this.’ Americans are individualists. But American Christians are part of Christ’s body. God’s rules for its proper functioning are laid out in scripture. Creeds are not scripture, but they help us internalize basic scriptural principles agreed upon by respected theologians over the centuries. A creed is not up for a vote. Its purpose is to declare and safeguard God’s truth about Himself.
Reciting, for example, the Apostle’s Creed, concisely summarizes the Christian faith. If someone asks what you believe, the basics are right there. It’s no coincidence that as American denominations have de-emphasized learning and reciting the great creeds, the church’s influence on the culture has lessened.

“Satan is ever seeking to inject that poison into our hearts to distrust God’s goodness – especially in connection with his commandments. That is what really lies behind all evil, lusting and disobedience. A discontent with our position and portion, a craving from something which God has wisely held from us. -Children being subjected to adult waywardness that which shall poison hearts of the vulnerable and shall be considered an abomination."
And receive with meekness the ingrafted word. which becomes so when it is received; when it is put into the heart by the Spirit of God, and is mixed with faith by them that hear it; so that it is, as it were, incorporated into them, and becomes natural to them, which before was not; and taking deep root in them, brings forth much fruit: and where it comes with power, it reduces every high thought into the obedience of Christ, and makes men meek and humble; and only such receive the truth in the love of it; and to such is the Gospel preached, ( Isaiah 61:1 ) , and none but such hear it with profit and edification:
Which is able to save your souls. even your whole persons, both soul and body: but the soul is only mentioned, as being the more excellent part of man: this must not be understood of the word, as if it was the author or cause of salvation, but as an instrument; it being a declaration of salvation by Christ, or what shows unto men the way of salvation by him; and is the power of God unto salvation to them, when it is attended with the energy of the Spirit, and the efficacy of divine grace. See (2 Timothy 3:15).

" Society has entered a post Christian culture. And this being the assumption of Christian values without due respect for Christian contributions." ~Great falling away~ Secularity is the state of being separate from religion, or not being exclusively allied or against any particular religion. Secular definition is - not spiritual: of or relating to the physical world and not the spiritual world.
