"And with all the social media clutter, I find it refreshing to have a reminder of a time that was.
And my memories are just that. I am glad though there were unpleasant times as society was
coming to grips with social adjustments. And resentment and hatred then and now shall never be
compatible with mankind unity. The world at large has set the stage. And the 'orchestrator' will close the curtain

for all, when our time has expired, here in the now. And the spiritual realm cannot be comprehended.
And it has been told of that spiritual preparation here in the now shall be upon each individual...no more...no less."

Interesting side on the show. Only one episode actually had Route 66 in it. Only three actually mentioned it.

Never knew of this song till about 2003 and even though it is negative nostalgia something speaks to me.

Staggering down the street, the blue light of tv's in windows on a cold snowy night.

*'A moral dilemma is also called an ethical dilemma and refers to a situation where an individual needs to make a choice but faces a conflicting situation between one or more alternatives. Ideally, the choice they make presents a dilemma because every available option may be wrong or incorrect. This creates a situation where there is a conflict of morals or ethics. Moral dilemmas are important as they help individuals interrogate their moral standing and who they are in terms of the choices they make when presented with conflicting options or situations.'

"Interesting article."

why_dont-we_look_christian.jpg

A recent ABCNEWS/Beliefnet poll found 83 percent of Americans self-identify as Christians. But if 83 percent of the nation’s population is Christian, why do we have so many abortions and out-of-wedlock births, and so much divorce. And why is homosexual marriage now the law of the land?

In other words, why is sexual freedom trumping biblical sexual ethics even to the point that — now — our laws force the acceptance of sexual immorality? If so much of the nation claims Christianity, shouldn’t that Christianity be reflected in the prevailing morals and practices?

One answer is that lots of so-called Christians are simply defining their own Christianity. In this same poll, the open-ended question, “What is your religion?” was asked. Among the self-identified Christians, there were 50 different answers. Most of the 50 affiliations cited are Christian denominations, ranging from the Assemblies of God to the United Church of Christ. But, when you drill down, you find that many of the denominations mentioned have strayed far from biblical orthodoxy on sexual and other matters. We’ve lost the cultural consensus that once held to a biblical sexual ethic. So, on the hot-button issues concerning sexuality, sin and selfishness reign in the culture.

If we ever were a Christian nation, we aren’t one now. Still, the vast, overwhelming majority of people say they are Christians. So, why don’t we, as a nation look like it?

I think it’s because so many Christians have a sort of fruit-salad understanding of their faith. Along with healthy doses of poverty-fighting and environmentally protective beliefs they’ll throw in tolerance for serial marriage, cohabitation and a willingness to easily jettison the God-ordained definition of marriage. We often find these fruit salad Christians really can’t answer questions about the basics of the faith.

In many of the 50 denominations cited in this poll, having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is not stressed. In others, that personal relationship doesn’t extend to obedience. My pastor says, “Faith has to be personal, but not personalized.” “Faith is not customizable.”

Some denominations have de-emphasized learning and reciting the historic creeds of the faith. Others are not formally catechizing (or teaching) members their historic doctrinal positions.

A creed is a statement of faith, of belief, not of required behavior. It says, ‘I believe this.’ Americans are individualists. But American Christians are part of Christ’s body. God’s rules for its proper functioning are laid out in scripture. Creeds are not scripture, but they help us internalize basic scriptural principles agreed upon by respected theologians over the centuries. A creed is not up for a vote. Its purpose is to declare and safeguard God’s truth about Himself.

Reciting, for example, the Apostle’s Creed, concisely summarizes the Christian faith. If someone asks what you believe, the basics are right there. It’s no coincidence that as American denominations have de-emphasized learning and reciting the great creeds, the church’s influence on the culture has lessened.

Kicking a Child Out of the House
"This thread touches upon a personal heartbreaking personal experience of which I sincerely hope
no one has to ever be involved with. And somewhere in a previous thread I believe I shared in part, pertaining
to our experience of raising our grandson, now
twenty-five and Thank God, is doing great and we shared a
hug and I love you only about an hour ago as he was working in the garage on his classic '66' Chevy. Praise God!

"Having raised him since a year old due to an abusive stepdad, and the legal and emotional drama cannot be
emphasized sufficiently to fully grasp the impact on all involved...believe it!

"I am thankful God's love and our love prevailed through it all. And folks...here is where love plays such a profound
role in any family circle for any meaningful relationship to be sustained."

"And only yesterday, my oldest daughter, (of a previous marriage) called and had disturbing update on her son, a grandson two
years younger than the one we raised. He was in a drug rehab and left and back on the streets, and she is being confronted
with the dilemma of the fatherless children. We shared 'wireless tears' and about the procedure to proceed with acquiring legal
guardianship, as she knew we had gone through this years ago. I can only hope and pray for all involved.

"This is merely a 'scratch' on our family circle, as everyone contains their own experiences with endless emotional scars
that are most likely to linger on. I now know of God in my life and this being a great reprieve. "Praise God"

"And one thing that has seen us through...my surrender and willingness to change and put myself in God's care the
best I know how. And to fully realize my greatest resource being love! I Thank God each day that my old life is gone,
and a profound spiritual enlightenment has allowed a renewed life, here in the now.

"I can only hope the sensitive subject of 'kicking' a child, children, or adult out, should be looked upon as a matter that
should be approached with great care, heartaches are not to be trifled with, of any age."

"Faith and trust in God's wisdom becomes reality more so when applied and actually
put into practice in our life with daily perseverance. And I have learned over the past
two plus decades of this being of great significance in attitude and conduct of my life...believe it,,,,,,
so long as I am willing to change, and this being of profound significance...Thank God!

'And without earnestly striving to practice the love and wisdom and honestly knowing it works
in one's own life
circumstances, perhaps many should honestly ponder the foundation for faith and trust and to
understand assuming without knowledge may very likely simply be following 'Christian' protocol habits.

'And with habits most often brings cause of unconsciously acting without seriously contemplating the
end results of one's own constitution, whatever that may present.
'And the teachings of lessons influenced through the spiritual revelations of Christ our Lord God being

meaningful and powerful messages that of which pertain to the nature of life to strive to live by....
and that would be by all...here in the now.

(A review of realism)
'Here in the Now'
(Part #1)

Social media maladies are conditions affecting productivity of the human network. It is often construed to be a social condition associated with specific symptoms and signs.

It may be caused by external factors, such as influence of technology or simply using technology in the wrong way and for the wrong purposes. It may also be caused by the influence of media. Causes include a lack of knowledge or wisdom by individuals or groups, sometimes both. The lack of knowledge and/or wisdom in use of this thing everyone calls “social media” has become a social media malady.

Social media maladies cause pain, dysfunction, distress, social problems, and lost productivity to the person(s) afflicted, or similar problems for those in contact with the person or organization. In this broader sense, it sometimes includes injuries, disabilities, disorders, syndromes and mental infections. Social media malady can also be classified as communicable and non-communicable “social disease” of the mind. Got it yet? You really don’t want to get it.

An Epidemic of Social Proportions

Everywhere we turn in every form of media we are surrounded with this thing called social media. Facebook dominates magazine covers, stories, broadcast and our mobile devices “tweet” with content from” twits”. The human network is more consumed with reading and watching “the latest and greatest” than they are about their own safety on the road or that of others. Technology is influencing our belief systems to believe the “popular and influential” vs. the “meaningful and significant” things that define life, if we can remember what the definition of life is.

Life is the condition that distinguishes organisms from inorganic objects and dead organisms, being manifested by growth through metabolism, reproduction, and the power of adaptation to environment through changes originating internally. Living things are systems that tend to respond to changes in their environment, and inside themselves, in such a way as to promote their own continuation. A social media malady promotes the continuation of meaningless and insignificant things that do not promote progressive continuation of the human network.

The epidemic at hand is production and consumption of meaningless and insignificant things that do not enhance continuation of the human network. The continuation of the human network is fueled by knowledge and wisdom. Social media maladies are spread by not knowing or not using knowledge wisely. Said maladies include:

(Part #2)
Believing that life is shaped and fueled by marketing messages
Believing that results are best achieved by manipulating those who lack knowledge or wisdom
Believing that “popular and influential” means “knowledgeable and wise”
Believing every tweet, status update, email or text is worthy of immediate attention
Believing “friends” are more important that your “meaningful and significant relationships”
The commercial world knows that the human network suffers these common maladies and more. We are fed media that sustains our maladies existence, and all “social media” are doing is creating an epidemic of social proportions.

The only cure for social media maladies is knowledge followed by wisdom. You are not likely to get cured by popular and influential Social Media Therapists because the reality is they are the ones spreading the epidemic with self-centered promotional media disguised as knowledge and wisdom. Real knowledge and wisdom come from the soul of the human network. If you put your head in the sand, you won’t find it because you can’t see it.

" And in all your assemblies, put away and be done with your discord. And know this and know it well,
any disturbance which brings cause of discord, destroys the quest of truly knowing of God in your life.
The glory of God being trifled with in any form of conduct shall be considered
contempt of obedience.

'God's love has been abandoned for the sake of idolatry, boastfulness and the clamoring of selfish and
self-centeredness to gain nothing of spiritual value and of which the spiritually
depraved man-mind
brings cause of meaningful scripture to grow stagnant and sour of any hope of love to bring about spiritual enlightenment."

"Over two million posts with over forty thousand topics and growing.
And
precisely what has been accomplished and or learned remains a mystery.
It can be assumed basically, there are many that can type, text, read, quote and lend an opinion.
And this
may be good and
well-intended/ and or/ blatant and erroneous activity from a
group that may be misguided by behavior of man-mind foolishness and fanciful delusions.

'And this only being an observation of

and anything read here certainly is not intended to be
judgmental. And I share many things from
and through a heart of spiritual revelations and conviction.

'The mystery and wisdom surrounding the... 'Inspired Words of/ from God'... are of a miraculous and
extremely
extraordinary circumstances that man/men of different times and culture were so greatly
influenced that many historic
chronicles came about. Obviously, any logical common sense would
conclude language culture etc. etc. would prevent any complete
accuracy of how, why, who or where
many things
occurred and by/with whom...being forever unknown!

"And this spiritual reality being mine and mine alone as each shall choose their own path, and there appears to be a different path for different personalities. And these paths most likely will continue to collide with an immense amount of dysfunctional disharmony bringing cause of confusion and promoting delusional worldly 'thinking' ...bringing cause of lost souls to wander off in search of hopefully finding witnesses that have testimony of God's work being practiced and how a life may have been changed by acting upon and applying the teachings of Christ.
'And with a sound mind it can be witnessed across the land that 'Christianity' and society as a whole has become labored with a great morality decline. Love seemingly abandoned for the sake of fitting in with the dilemma of the wireless communication delirium."
