All you people with your science backgrounds ( not sure about you, Ed!) seem to have forgotten some science basics. I learned this in Biology 101 in university.
1. Listing off individual cases is called "anecdotal." It is never used in science or the scientific method. It is tragic, yes, but for every single person you list who got hurt by a vaccine, I can put up 100 names and cases who died painfully from COVID, or who are long haulers.
You can list vaccine reactions till the cows come home, and they are just anecdotal. The church uses testimonials, which are similar. But the church is not looking for the science, but what God has done personally in our lives. Testimonies work for Christians, but not for vaccines.
Science uses the scientific method. It starts with a hypothesis. An experiment is set up with a minimum of 2 groups, those getting the real vaccine (in this case), and those who think they are getting the vaccine, but instead, they are getting a saline solution, which does nothing, called the Placebo Group.
After a specified time, they examine both groups. The doctors, techs, and experiment individuals don't know who got the actual vaccine. (Double blind study.) If the study goes according to plan, the trial vaccine should help the people in the vaccine group, and no change in the Placebo group who didn't get the vaccine, but thought they did. Or, if the vaccine didn't work, both groups should be similar in results.
The problem is, people's expectations can interfere with the results. In the 1990's, the first biologics to treat RA came out. Remicade was trialed at the University of Alberta, in Edmonton, (where my dad was a professor, but not in science!).
Many universities all over the world did large, controlled, double blind studies. People were desperate from some kind of treatment that stopped this painful, deforming disease. They X-rayed everyone's hands and feet before the study started. Every patient in both groups got the same treatment and encouragement and everyone was convinced they got the biologic. At the end of the year, hands and feet were X-rayed again, deterioration from the earlier ones were noted.
When they interviewed the study participants, 52% of the Placebo group thought they had gotten the med, and were feeling much better. Their hope was so high, they somehow ignored their pain, and thought they were improved. The X-ray studies were instrumental. All the people in the Placebo Group, including the 52% of the people who thought they were improved, showed considerable degeneration in the hands and feet. In other words, they thought they were better, but were not. The meds had not worked, because they didn't get it. This is why you have to have a way to control other factors.
It became an ethical issue. They could not continue to give people a placebo and let them think they were improving. The Ethics committee decided everyone would get the biologic, Remicade, in both groups.
Large groups with a placebo group are the scientific method. That's why I thought Nehemiah had no science background. Because he seems to know nothing about the scientific method.
All the COVID vaccines have been tested in huge experiments around the world, for many years. They used the SARS virus that they had been working on vaccines for over 10 years! Why didn't the anti-vaxers mentioned how many actual double blind studies these vaccines have been through? They weren't just invented one day in Feb, and distribution started 6 months later.
It is just shocking the lies the anti-vaxers have been presenting as evidence. I know many people who died of COVID. I don't know anyone who has had a single side effect, except a sore injection arm from the vaccine. I had NO side effects, not even a sore arm! I'm not saying there aren't some terrible side effects, but they certainly do not compare with the damage and death COVID-19 brings.

After you have read this, try and apply it to what the antivaxers are saying. I'd love to give a lecture on statistics, and the way they are being misused by the antivaxers. Nehemiah yells in bold, big letters, but that is a scare technique. Anyone with the science on their side doesn't need to yell at people to prove they are right. They just need to put the evidence on the table. As for the name callers, we don't even have to look at science. We can just look at the words of Jesus said through the NT writers!

Also there is a unknown number of people which may be have Corona without symptoms and dont knowing it and can spread it.
Meanwhile over 43 Mill are vaccined nearly 50%, like in the USA.
The goal is 80 or 90% vaccined people. This will hold the numbers of infections down.

For me, I am not paranoid of a line in the sand. Canada has its worst Prime minister in the history of Canada, he is looking for a Great Reset, which means communism. And still, I am not worried. There is only a line if you are afraid. It always strikes me as so odd that the US govt, for and by the people, is both hated and feared by most people, especially conservatives. I do know your govt is as bad as ours, but I don't understand what help worrying will do. Western Canada may take up arms and separate from the east. I would be a part of that. And if Trudeau wins another election. It will happen.
You weren't the one who accused me of wanting vaccines mandated. I don't even want vaccines passports, and out west, we will never have them. The premiers have guaranteed it, and if the Federal gov't pulls any punches, the west will leave. We actually have the resources in the west, but the east has the power. I do not believe this is a slippery slope. Vaccines have been around since the 17th century when Dr. Edward Jenner injected people with the cow pox virus. Milkmaids got it from the cows, but never got small pox, which was much more deadly, when there were epidemics. They would get sick for a day or two, then recover and never get small pox. I got that vaccine when I was 4. I got a fever and felt very ill. For some reason my mom gave it to me on my birthday, when she had a big neighbourhood party for me. I missed most of it.
So, 300 years ago vaccines started, and it was not a slippery slope at all. I also got polio shots, which was still a disease when I was young. I knew lots of people who had polio before they got a vaccine. They died or were often maimed for life. No slippery slope them. There was no MMR shot, I got a bad case of Red Measles, but recovered quickly. Children did die of it, and I knew someone who became deaf from Red Measles. I got Rubella when I was 11. Other than being covered with spots, I wasn't sick at all. I lived in a town on the coast of BC, and they had a whole cohort of women who got pregnant and exposed to rubella. Their children were all deaf. They put them in one class with aides all the way till they graduated. My son played hockey with one boy, they figured out tricks to help him. Chicken pox was no big deal, but shingles as an adult was hell. No slippery slope. I think vaccines are better than the damage those diseases can cause. I didn't let my daughter get Gardasil. She married her first boyfriend, never needed it. But she did end up getting Hep B, when she started working in a hospital as a psych aide. She was an adult, it was her choice. Eventually we got Hep A & B so we could travel to Mexico.
None of those were really slippery slopes, but I think kids take too many vaccines today.
But the COVID vaccine is a different character, COVID-19 is spread by airborne factors. I don't know if all those deaths in Wuhan we're real, but a friend from my church was there when it happened. She was teaching ESL and the gospel at a Chinese school. She got on the second Canadian plane out. Was taken directly to an army base where she had to stay in her room 15 days. It was a real vaccine.
Anyway, as far as Revelation, the part that is literal are Chapters 1-3, the letters to the churches. The apocalyptic part starts in chapter 4. Pick up any good commentary, and that is what they all say. Revelation by Beales is one of the best commentaries on Revelation. I have his long commentary. Which uses Greek. Read his shorter commentary, which only uses English. He is very clear Revelation is apocalyptic literature.
There are actually 4 words in Bauer (BDAG) to do with Medicine and drugs, are related to the root word pharmakia. The word for "magic spells" is not related to other specific words which are used for medicines that healed. Modern medicine has nothing to do with Rev 18:23, which was actually an angel destroying Babylon. Which might have been code for Rome, although no one knows for sure!! I wrote an examination of the words, I will look on my computer to see if I can find it.
I can tell you modern medicine has saved my life over a 100 times. It has saved the life of one of my children, who got pneumonia when he was 6. It is not magic tricks from sorcerers. Besides, when you use one verse like that, it is usually out of context, and they way you have handled it is out of context.
I don't believe in a mark of the beast. As a partial preterist, I believe most of these things happened when and after Jesus died, till the time when Jerusalem was attacked and the temple destroyed by the Roman General (later Caesar) Titus. Although I am certainly waiting for the Second Coming of Jesus. One that is not a secret rapture, but the second coming when every eye shall see, every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!
Finally I believe your fear that people are being conditioned to obey is utter nonsense. Americans are too freedom loving to become obedient robots. And apparently so are the French, Australians, and other countries that are having huge parades against mandatory vaccines around the world. We are too educated for a peasant revolution like Russia had. We don't have absolute leaders like the Czar was. People were coming to beg him for food, and when they arrived at the palace, the guards told Alexander the peasants were outside protesting, he told the soldiers to shoot them all. And they did-men, women, children. This really happened, but over 100 years ago, with an autocratic dictator for leader. Why would the US suddenly accept a dictator as leader? Especially someone as out of it, with increasing dementia as Biden?
Sometimes, we do have to obey the gov't. Paul was very clear about this in Romans 13!
"Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except by God’s appointment, and the authorities that exist have been instituted by God. 2 So the person who resists such authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will incur judgment 3 (for rulers cause no fear for good conduct but for bad). Do you desire not to fear authority? Do good and you will receive its commendation 4 because it is God’s servant for your well-being. But be afraid if you do wrong because government does not bear the sword for nothing. It is God’s servant to administer punishment on the person who does wrong. 5 Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of the wrath of the authorities but also because of your conscience." Romans 13:1-5
Read the whole Bible and you will find it does say to obey the gov't. People who ignore Romans 13 are the biggest sorts of hypocrites. Like many in this thread. ( not speaking of you!)
Be strong in what you believe. I hear a lot of thought, some going with the crowd, but a lot not! That is a good thing. I know the people on this thread are a bunch of nasty bullies and they are yelling and screaming, really having temper tantrums. (Not you) I imagine many will have to die to have God show them the error of their ways in eternity. We best judge ourselves. Are we following Jesus, or conspiracy theories? Too many here are following conspiracy threads, and their rage full anger shows it is not from God.

Kinda crazy since if you read this, and similar threads, you’d see that’s all some vaccine cheerleaders talk about, anecdotes. Including yourself, and how the vaccine has somehow helped your ailments.
But if it were just anecdotal evidence you’d have a point. But there has been volumes of information detailing the vast danger to getting the gene therapy.
I put anecdotal evidence as a way to personalize the tragedy of the vaccine. Real people, many of whom are very young, dying from a vaccine they absolutely didn’t need as they have virtually a 100% chance of surviving the virus should they get it.
So here’s another anecdote. This one is the death of a young lady who died from COVID-19 after repeated promises from Biden and others she would not get the disease, and if she did, it would be very mild:

The generals have all been corrupted. They have all betrayed their oaths of office.
They have now decided that the real enemies of America are not China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea, but the ordinary law-abiding citizens of the USA, particularly those who are (1) Christians, (2) conservatives, (3) Republicans, (4) opposed to Communism. and (5) upholding the Constitution.
Did you hear General Milley's remark about "white rage"? He had nothing to say about "black rage". And he had nothing to say about "Cuban rage". Ordinary Cubans waving the American flag because they want freedom from Communist tyranny (which is now being established in America and Canada).
But what about the other officers (since there are several ranks below the feckless generals)? Are they all sleeping while the military is reduced to a Black Racist group to target ordinary citizens? No, the only option is Minutemen. And for those not familiar with that term, check out American history.
