Which teachers. I can't listen to rap music at all, being a trained classical musician and ex rock musician from my youth.

Maybe we need to discus the teachers, and what their theology is and then decide whether it is ethical for anyone to use music as a means to call out people.

Please post the names of the preachers and I will tell you what i think. Sorry I cannot handle the links. LOL

He calls out almost everyone on the TBN network: Joyce Myers, TD Jakes, Joel Osteen, and many others. I'm not familar with all of the people. But he spoke about them being false teachers, who preach prosperity, and that Jesus isn't for properity, and it is all a pyramid scheme.

I do listen to Joyce Myers a lot, and she speaks on the kingdom, and I have never heard her asking for money. As a matter of fact I have heard her ask for people to drop off food, and diapers.

It is one thing to talk about false teachers, and another thing to call people out. You got to have some legal evidence to do that, in my opinion.

Joyce Meyers teaches 'little gods' theology.
Check out a book called Christianity In Crisis by Hank Hanegraaff. He covers most of the major televangelists and their false teachings, using quotes of the individuals. Very eye opening, and disturbing.

you have to be careful with hanegraaff though...he himself is prone to committing some errors of exaggeration and lumping and misunderstanding what someone is saying...

The God does say in the bible He has plans to prosper us. But the prosperity spoken of in the bible is not the same view that a lot of people have. Joel Osteen's entire ministry is based on the gospel of health and wealth. If you follow God and have a good relationship with him then you will not be sick, and you will be wealthy, anything less is not living in total victory. Number 1, the bible never mentions anything about how we will live in total victory. Number 2, prosperity and wealth are not the same thing. Prosperity is God providing for us exactly what we need, when we need it. As for no sickness, that's just a misinterpretation of the Lords prayer. Rather than reading "your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven" a lot of teachers assume it should be "your will be done THE SAME on earth as it is in Heaven" One look at the news and I think people will realize the plans and life God has for us in Heaven are not the same as they are on earth, so just because there is no sickness in heaven doesn't mean there won't be any sickness on earth.

The reason a lot of these teachers are popular is not because of their faith or relationship with God, but because of the fact that they preach a ministry that makes people feel warm and fuzzy all over. They don't preach the gospel, they teach a "How to get rich and stay healthy" plan. Our eyes should not be on the things of this world, but on eternity. Living life today is not about getting rich, and living life fully here on earth, but living life fully in eternity. I don't support arguing and dissension in the church, but I also have no issue with teachers being called out when they're wrong. They should be, for their benefit so they can learn, and our benefit so we know unbiblical teaching when we hear it.

Just wondering, What does

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven

mean?

For his will to be done on earth, as his will is also done in heaven. His will does not have to be synonymous, for instance, it was not required for Jesus to die in heaven to save angels from sin. Satan is also not allowed free reign in heaven. We could go on for pages on the differences between heaven and earth, is God's will for heaven to eventually restore it, and create a new Jerusalem? Not by any word in the bible.

Joel Osteen for sure is a false teacher. He has no Bible training, did not want to be a preacher, but his Dad made him take over the "family" business. He does not preach repentance for sin. He only preaches get rich. Here is a good article.

Joel Osteen - False Preacher

I know a lot of people who like Joyce Meyers, but I have honestly not read one of her books. I probably have 2000 Christian books on theology and the Bible, but not one of hers. So I will not comment except to say, I don't think that most people follow anyone unless they promise them something. But applies to most TV preachers these days. Just lead the flock astray.

Just found a link about Joyce's doctrine and it is not good. I don't agree that woman can't preach, and there are obviously false men teachers, but this has a good list of some of the heretical things she has taught. No wonder I don't read her books.

Mathew 7:1"Do not judge, or you too will be judged".
I don't think we should judge a person who is working for God, no matter who ever it be. I listen to many preachers including Joel Osteen. He is among the good pastors and i appreciate his work for kingdom of God. I believe in testimonies of those thousand of members who visit his church.

Bible do says to be alert of false preachers, it means if you find some one not walking according to word of God, you should not be his student, you just quit following him or her. If you don't appreciate or find Joel Osteen, joyce meyer right, you should certainly quit listening to him and follow who whoever you find right.

Roman 13:1 "Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God." All authority has been set by God, even being a pastor is an authority set by God. No one should judge the work done by God.

God choose no one among people to pass judgement among Joel Osteen or others and attacks other's image and create obstacle in their work. Let him be judge by God. He has to stand in front of his Throne, people who are making judgement about his work are stealing the throne of Jesus and trying to take his place and trying to punish Joel Osteen by brain washing people's mind against Joel Osteen. People who pass judgement should certainly quit investing time in judging others and spend time more on saving souls. I would encourage all people on CC to stop being part of this unproductive task and let find new ways and news methods to bring more people in kingdom of God. We will be wasting our time and energy if we spend it in judging others work. Its not our work, its God's work.

It is good to see this discussion. Like I said, I did start listening to Joyce a few months ago, but I don't follow her or any one, I follow God. I do know that there are people who worship preachers/teachers, which we all know is bad. I take everthing with a grain of salt. Some of her talks have helped me in my journey with God, so I will never speak badly about her. For the record, I have never bought any of her books or donated anything to her organization. I will check out the article Angela53510 posted, because I am an open minded person, who likes to hear both sides and then come up with my own opinion.

I have heard bad things about Joel, and the fact that Oprah endorses him, makes me weary, so I have never really sat down and listened to him talk.

A rapper talks about false teachers who preach prosperity. He calls out a couple big teachers that many listen to, including myself.

Listen to the song
Shai Linne talks about his song Fal$e Teacher$ | Rapzilla

Listen to him talk about the song
Shai Linne - Fal$e Teacher$ | Rapzilla

What do you think?
Somebody sang it right!! I just hope he doesn't get sued or shot. He's telling it like it is. They teach a prosperity message based on selfism. Not only so, but the Christian music industry is doing the same thing..... Making people feel good about themselves. Even praise and worship music and songs are more about "me" than about Christ. It's supposed to give Jesus the glory, not us.

I don't think many musicians would do what Shai Linne has done. I agree with his lyric and wish it really helps people to start to think about it again. Many people just take prosperity gospel and other things for granted. I always wander why the focus lays so often on the preachers and their success, while the focus should be on Jesus. Jesus had no image that we should love Him for His wealth and success with money. His focus point is the cross.

Matthew 22:8 Then saith he to his servants , The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. 9 Go ye therefore into the highways , and as many as ye shall find , bid to the marriage. 10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found , both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests . 11 And when the king came in to see the guests , he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: 12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless . 13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away ,and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
And the King called him Friend, but he wore no wedding garment.

I haven't seen much wrong with Joyce Meyer, some of her teachings have helped me, but I've really only listened to a couple too.

""Don't be deceived by this funny biz, if you come to Jesus for money, then he's not your God, money is! Jesus is not a means to an end, the Gospel is He came to redeem us from sin, and that is the message forever I yell! If you're living your best life now you're heading for hell!"

Just read an article in Christianity Today on this very timely topic. The words above are from the song.

Here is the link to the CT article.

Christianity Today Gleanings: Reformed Rapper Calls Out 12 Popular Pastors as 'False Teachers'

Thanks for posting this. I have been very much against the Health and Wealth Gospel since a close friend of mine got sucked into it, got breast cancer, claimed she was healed and died of cancer 10 months later.

We serve an amazing God. But he is not a sugar daddy or Santa Claus to answer all our wishes and dreams. Christ came to save, transform and lead us to serve him. Not so we could be rich or famous or even healthy in our bodies. But our hearts and minds - our character - that is a completely different issue.
