If you listen to The Mis-education, as well as this song, you see that Lauryn was speaking some real stuff. She references the Bible and God often. I loved this Unplugged album, but if you remember everyone thought she was nuts, because she cut her hair and made an album "with no beats" a 50 cent reference. She never liked the industry, that is why she left. When you speak the truth people think you are crazy.
