Yes there are some. Especially for the style of old school and pop punk. I'll try and get Ugly on this one if he doesn't see it first. He is a wealth of knowledge of everything Christian that rocks. To my knowledge in the green day blink and sum areas. try Dogwood, Ghoti Hook, Slick Shoes, Flatfoot 56. For the more old school stuff try Crash Dog, Officer Negative, the Crucified (early stuff).
This is so crazy, I found all my old officer negative, headnoise, and ghoti hook CDs and I was going to start a punk thread, ha! Listen to dying everyday, he's got you well covered, also check out 90lb wuss and blenderhead
couldn't find the ghoti hook songs I wanted, but this was a great one. I was privileged enough to see it done live a few times before their break up. I also recently found an autographed copy of bananaman, goodness I miss them.
I went to something called punktober fest once. It was the huntingtons, sidewalk slam, officer negative, headnoise, the remnants, fallen idols, green means go, and a crap ton of others....man that was fun.
Yeah, that sounds pretty awesome. I just happened to catch this stuff during a period where I was trying to go to Christian shows. 1994ish. I caught the blamed and mxpx and the crux and the supertones I think.
MxPx was my favorite band for like 5 or 6 years. I would have killed to see them live. I saw the supertones a few times and that was a lot of fun. The Blamed I saw twice, the first time was ok, but good enough for me to buy a lot of their merch (and was with ghoti hook now that I think of it), the second time they were absolutely killer.
