I have always struggled with the music and production value of "Christian" bands. I love groups like DCB* and Josh Garrells, but there are so many bands that I just don't enjoy. But in the last 7 years there has emerged a great deal of seeker-type music with faith-exploring lyrics, such as Mumford & Sons, the Lumineers, Needtobreathe, etc. I've actually seen NTB a half dozen times and they are solid in both their faith and songs. And I love the lyrics and music of the Avett Brothers -- again they are believers playing hope-filled, Christ-inspired music, but not labeled as "Christian bands".

I'm curious as to what other opinions are of believers using their musical talent to bridge the world to God through musical questions reckoning with life?

There are a lot of guys like that, actually. Many of whom converted after their fame. Most of the ones i know of are of the metal variety, as that's more main interest, but as long as the lyrics and general reputation of the band is nothing against their faith then it doesn't bother me.
