I really like music by the newsboys and music like that whether it's hillsong casting crowns or other contemporary artists. The newsboys latest album restart has been really gret for me to listen to because the message they send is so cleR and so true and it's a message that I love and can truly understand.
I have found that many Christians do not know what the "Casting Crowns" refers to. Paul was a avid fan of the original Olympic style of games. Instead of giving the winner a Gold Medal, in Paul's day they received a Laurel Wreath Crown. The winning athlete then had the honor of walking over to his King who would have been seated in the front row of the stadium with the other Kings. Dropping to one knee before his King, he would have bowed his head, removed his crown, and casting it at the feet of his King, he would have pronounced: "I won this for you my King."
Crowns that we can win in Christian Walk or Race, are:
Crown of Joy
Crown of Rejoicing,
Crown of Righteousness
Crown of Life
Crown of Glory
And the crowns we win, I am sure we will get to cast them at the feet of our KING, Jesus Christ.
