i'd personally call that goth-rock
in what i call industrial music, synth elements provide the primary melody, but here they accentuate the beat carried by live drums & guitar. in industrial music typically a drum machine is used and/or guitar riffs are sampled and digitally mixed via repeating a short recorded rythm. it's not always that way and all talk of genre is subject to personal perception & debatable :)

good stuff all the same. maybe at a stretch i'd call it electro-goth
there's a whole goth thread currently near the top of the music forum. i can't remember but it seems likely The Awakening has been posted in it at least once .. and there is certainly some industrial / goth crossover music posted in there.

Actually the guitarist to Aletheian went on to join Becoming The Archetype for either Physics of Dichotomy. But i'm pretty sure it was Physics. But originally Aletheian were called Clutch.
I have a remixed, or remastered, or whatever they did to it, version of Dying Vine with an extra song though. Woot. =P
