Demon Hunter sounded like a blatant Slipknot rip-off on their first album (though admittedly that's why I started listening to them) they started getting a more singular and developed sound on the second album and had it nailed by the time they did Triptych, which is probably one of the best christian metalcore/nu-metal sounding albums. Unfortunately after that they never progressed and got really boring.

As being to old for this I still go for Petra. To me they are 'metal' enough...:)

I quit supporting Deliverance once i found out Jimmy Brown became a Kahbbalist. Not sure if i said this in here before. But there is a new Deliverance CD in the works, featuring old members of Deliverance from the first or second CD. And, they have Jayson Sherlock on drums. I heard one song and it was awesome.
I was never a MATW fan. I liked the Danzig-ish feel of Rose though. Not as intense, but still good. I've heard his new music though. Its more boring and simple than his old stuff. He has his teen son and daughter playing in the 'band'.
Yeah I do remember you saying that about Deliverance. I'm not even sure what MATW is up to these days. Roger had some new songs he'd recorded under the MATW banner on his myspace page...this was like 5 yrs ago at least. I kinda lost interest on the last album they came out with- dreamland cafe. Made me sleepy. lol

LOL @ metal enough. Well, rock, let's just say. I'm not dissin' Petra...I owned some of their stuff at one time, and they are great for what they are. I'll be honest though,I haven't heard any stuff by them since...hmmmm...what was the name of that album, the front cover is in an airplane hangar...Beyond Belief. That's the one.

It may not be metal, but how metal is that cover?? (The album is called 10 horn daggers, not 0 horn daggers, by the way haha)

whenever I hear the term metalcore I think of the very first time I saw Haste the Day. It was before their first big CD, and they put on an awesome show. And then their lead singer was in a mathcore band called anapparatus, and the were AWESOME!

I don't mind Metalcore in small doses...it's like any other genre, after a bit it all starts to sound the same. Thanks for sharing the song though. It reminded me a little of a band from England called Asking Alexandria.

Eh, i go on musical tangets, so i now share them with you guys, haha. While always a metalhead, i did go through many rap phases over the years. I still enjoy some, but haven't really been in a phase to want to listen to it much in a while. But those are some songs i always seem to enjoy when i hear, phase or not.
But to bring things back around, here's a more fitting video..

lol...I've never been a huge fan of rap, secular or christian really...but now & then some of it is really clever & of course I do enjoy the beats. I still enjoy the album The Chosen Ones by P.I.D. & then they had an album where the called themselves Preachas...I think the album was called Violent Playground...that was pretty good too.
As you said Ugly...always a metalhead..but sometimes we need to break up the monotony.
