Sounds more techno based. Maybe kind of trance. Its ok. The constant talking distracts from the music, though.

Fellow CCers! I have recently inquired $35 of itunes gift money. I love metal so I'm looking for some suggestions.

I have these artists, so don't suggest these artists but I'd like to know of bands with similar sounds of these artists:

As I lay dying
Phinehas
Oh, sleeper
Demon hunter
For today
Brian welch
corpus christi
disciple
forthangel
haste the day
love and death
memphis may fire
our last night
war of ages
we came as romans
wolves at the gate
write this down

I'm one to like new (but amazing) artists with these styles, so if you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them!

Actually wasn't this posted before? And i heard it on that Plugin site, you or Servant or both. Its ok. Has some cool elements to it but its missing some heaviness to go with the melodic aspect.

you know i thought i posted it, but i didn't look back through this enormous thread.

here's a new track from Electron7, more EBM than anything, but without the 'distracting vocals' ;)

Headnoise - You Live Among the Dead

There's lipstick stain on the steering wheel of pain
Touch the button we all end in a flash
Humor loves tragedy when you awake from the imagery
Like sweat that drips from the Savior's bloody back
It's anesthesia that sings, electric shock always stings
I wish my mind didn't race so fast
I'm available to suffer in the conscience of others
Tell the fascist not to offend my inner voice

Introspection
Mass deception
Brain diffusion
Mind intrusion

Internal drips falling from the same drain
Iterations, helpless circle though my brain
Cheer up the asylum I've got a life sentence
At the graveyard I roll on broken glass
I long to be in places I dream
The carnival that dances all night
But lately my dreams have been more of screams
And insomnia has dropped by for a snack

There is still one place where devils dare go
And hope is my friend in the dark
It feels like a thousand years ago living the tombs demon possessed
screaming in the night breaking the chains that hold me,
I tore them from my feet ripping my flesh with jagged stones bleeding into the earth,
I tormented my people as I was being tormented myself,
I saw Him from a distance and fell at His feet

"what do you want with me Jesus son of the most high God,
swear to God you won't torture me"
I screamed "Come out of this man you evil spirit, what is your name?"
"Legion for we are many" then the demons that begged and evil spirits left
and went into a herd of pigs two thousand in number rushed off the cliff and drowned,
I now stand in my right mind telling you all Jesus has done for me,
beg Him to stay and send your pigs off the cliff.

(Matthew 5:1-20)

Drive your demons in the pigs
Drive your pigs off the cliff

So nice to hear some new metal come out that isn't power/epic and that doesn't have the word 'core' anywhere in the description.

Also from that label

With the tongue-in-cheek cynicism of The Ramones and the vibrant, colorful energy of Rage Against the Machine, Lust Control are back with a “decidedly more metallic” album. In addition to their maturation as a unit, The bands new approach promises to be just as intense and lacerating as the rollicking riots of tracks the act released in the eighties. To put it simply, while the band might be taking a newer approach, they still hold true to their commitment to bring the most energetic and intense music possible to the listener

Rip-roaring riffs, pummeling, punishing percussion, abrasive intense vocals and—you guessed it—sex, sex, sex, Lust Control are back, and busting heads at the top of their game. Ready to usher in their reunion with an album that provides a revolutionary, rambunctious listening experience sure to bring back headbangs reminiscent of the listener’s youth with a new, well-aged edge.
