I like to write my own songs but at the moment Im just stuck, I know I can find inspiration in the word but you know I like to hear from people and get any ideas/scripture that might relieve this block.

I also write and I can tell you the worst thing to do is to try to force it.
Do activities and rejoice in the Lord.
I find sweat is a great inspirational motivator.
It's amazing how when your back hurts and your arms ache, you start singing to the Lord.

I'm so happy you brought this up, for it reminds me of an old musician by the name of Keith Green. He said He went to the LORD and cried, "GOD, I haven't written a song in 2 months." Then Keith says GOD responded by writing him a song called, "When I Hear The Praises Start"

Keith Green is the most anointed christian singer/songwriter I've ever heard.
- - - - - If he had writer's block, then it must happen to all of us!
(I wonder if it even happened to David in between some of his psalms?);)
