I understand how many may see modern technology as a possibility of the mark but if so I think their a long way from getting it to work. I have posted several sarcastic post about being downgraded from 4g to 5g. In east Texas they have been trying to get 5g to work for about a year now but we had better service when it was 4g.
The thing is that if a storm is close then the internet starts slowing down and buffs and buffs(no signal). If your at a gas pump in a storm your card will not work at the pump or inside it will say "declined",,("denied" means it can connect with your bank and verify the transaction but turned it down, "declined" means it's tried to connect to your bank but could not verify payment so it declined it until it can verify). Anyway not getting a signal is a normal occurrence where I live because the closest store(Walmart) is a 20 mile round trip. HEB is a 84 mile round trip and the closest big city (Beaumont) is a 120 mile round trip from my house.
The problem is not just the storms but a combination of things. Yesterday when the weather got hotter our phones and our internet lost their signals until about sundown. There's a Dollar General about 4 miles from us but it's like rolling the dice because about 1 out of 10 times they will tell you when you go in they cant take cards because there's no service. If we drive down the highway and my wife watches her phone in the valley's it looses the signal but on the hills it connects. In the summer it's worse than the winter(tree leaves?) but most times my wife calls the store when we go to ask if the cards working or not. In the old days the analog TV worked and the old dial up phones all the time. I laugh when the emergency broadcast goes "beep, this is a test of the emergency brod ..." because every time a bad storm comes in the TV stops getting HD ,,the phone and internet both go out at the same time. That's progress though right where we replace things that use to work with new things that stop working in the event of an emergency?
