[h=2]Benham Brothers Attack Continues......Sun Trust Bank Pulls Support[/h]by NTEB News Desk

[h=4]The persecution of heterosexuals who do not support the LGBT movement[/h]With the full backing of the president of the United States and nearly every Fortune 500 company in America, the LGBT movement has become a mafia-like force to be reckoned with. No longer happy with mere tolerance or acceptance, they now seek full and unfettered control of the narrative in this country as they infuse their perverse lifestyle and values into the mainstream. The Benham brothers have lost their entire careers and fortunes simply because they are Christians who opened their mouths for the Lord Jesus Christ in their private lives. When they marshal a wide-enough base, they will begin shutting down bible believing churches.
The DC: First they lost their television show. Now the Benham brothers say they are losing their business. SunTrust Banks is cutting ties with would-be reality stars David and Jason Benham after liberal activists attacked them for their conservative views on abortion and gay marriage, The Daily Caller has learned.
The Benhams, in their statement, said the news came “without warning or explanation from SunTrust and took place over a 15 minute period” on Thursday.

In a statement provided first to TheDC on Friday, the Benham brothers confirmed that SunTrust Banks has pulled all of its listed properties with the Benham brothers’ bank-owned property business, which includes several franchisees across four states.
The move comes just a week after HGTV announced it was canceling a planned home renovation show hosted by the brothers. “If our faith costs us our HGTV show and our business, then so be it,” said Jason Benham on Friday.
“We were caught off-guard with this one,” David Benham said of SunTrust’s actions. “Keeping us off television wasn’t enough, now this agenda to silence wants us out of the marketplace.”
The Benhams, in their statement, said the news came “without warning or explanation from SunTrust and took place over a 15 minute period” on Thursday. The Brothers said they have had a “mutually productive working relationship with SunTrust for many years” and hold a ”preferred broker” status with the bank.
The brothers said they contacted SunTrust, but bank employees declined to explain the reasoning for what happened. Reached for comment by TheDC on Friday, SunTrust corporate spokesman Mike McCoy would not say whether the Benhams’ political views impacted their decision.
“We continuously review our supplier relationships and changes to the list of companies we rely on for services is a natural part of our business, however we do not publicly comment on specific vender relationships,” McCoy told TheDC.
In their statement, the Benhams said they “recognize SunTrust’s right to hire or fire any real estate broker they choose but do not support the decision” to fire independent franchisees that are associated with them. Many of these franchisees, they said, “do not hold the same beliefs” they do.
“As Americans we find ourselves at a crossroads and are forced with a decision to either stand up or sit down,” David Benham said. “Evidently, SunTrust’s longstanding commitment to diversity must not include our historic Christian values.”
One such franchisee is Joel Morimanno of Benham Real Estate of SW Florida. “I believe SunTrust has requested a blanket reassignment of all Benham Brother listings across the nation because of their Christian beliefs,” Morimanno said in a statement to TheDC.
“The success of my business is based on my performance,” he said. “I work hard to maintain a Preferred Status with all my clients. It appears that SunTrust simply reassigned the listing based on other external factors.”
In an email obtained by TheDC, Morimanno was told by SunTrust’s third-party asset management company: “Unfortunately the seller (SunTrust) is asking for this property to be re-assigned. This was the direct clients (SunTrust) request. I really appreciate all your efforts on this property…This one is out of our control. It is really nothing you did.”
“It is highly unusual for a big asset manager to reassign assets without cause. I even offered to waive my commissions on the sale of the property but they refused and said they were required to reassign the property,” Morimanno explained.
Benham REO Group, the brothers’ main company, “offers streamlined and scaled property management solutions to bank clients for the purposes of liquidating large volumes of foreclosed properties in the Carolinas,” according to its website.
“Having served more than 200 Bank clients and managed/sold over 6,500 foreclosed properties since its inception, the Benham Real Estate Group also provides home buyers/sellers/investors with a highly trained sales team that specializes in working with people interested in purchasing REO property,” the website said. The Benhams were set to host a new home-renovation show on the Home and Garden Television network called “Flip It Forward.” source - Daily Caller

This is going beyond America Land of the Free. Who would think the Christians
would be denied by a business they have dealt with.

Can anyone say "socialism" has begun ?

Amazing how the left in this country does not believe in freedom, especially freedom of speech.

Remember when Paula Deen was removed from HGTV and what a
number it did to her. She had her son to at least keep family going.

These Brothers ? What is wrong with this picture ? I mean it is one
thing for HGTV to not carry through their agreement. But the Bank
these men used for their business ? What is next ?

It is not like you are under a dictatorship. Christians are a majority in the US. What is happening is being allowed by Christians.

THIS is the tact that we must employ against the persecution that Christians now face from those that hate us. It is true that evil will continue to grow and get stronger til Jesus' return, but that doesn't mean we should just give up fighting back against it. They're Anti-Christian bigotry must be called out on every occasion by calling them anti-Christian bigots.

I think Jesus said otherwise

Matthew 5

Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, 2 and he began to teach them.
The Beatitudes

He said:
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.

8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

38 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’[h] 39 But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. 40 And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. 41 If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles.42 Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.

43“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[i] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

This is a classic example of how being outspoken about your beliefs can get you into trouble. In a time and place where it's acceptable to be anything but a Christian, it might be best to just keep your head down; praying for protection against possible persecution.

These situations only define the liberal mindset.

Its bigoted. Anything that does not agree with them is an abomination and should never be heard from.

Ultimate hypocricy. The ideology of tolerance is the ideology of pure hatred and exclusion.

The ignorance. The ideology of the truly enlightened is actually the ideology of low information voters and people who worship self and emotion over what works and true intellectual investments.

The complete hatred of christianity. Please if anything is understood about this post, this is the point to be understood...liberalism is anti-christian. It is NOT charitable. It is not racially blind. It is not about financial fairness and most of all liberalism hates women.

America still does have a christian influence today but the media is not christian. The promotion of social ideals is not christian and the more left we go in this nation the less christian we will become.

Phill Robertson says he prefers women to men and BAM.

Christian business owners do not want to support anti- christian policies or actions and wallah, under attack.

A gay football player is called a hero on sports programs....a role model.......role model, and if anyone comes against that sick proclamation.....bingo, bigot.

Ya wanted the first black president and what you got was more lubricant on the slippery slope. Any christian who voted for this moral abomination, liberalism, should be ashamed.

Period.

Yup. Has nothing whatsoever to do with stating truth, and refusing to compromise the Word. People on the fence, perhaps persuaded by the haters of Christians, that WE are the haters, maybe never thought that those leveling the charges ARE the haters and intolerant Anti-Christian bigots.

Great post! Jesus spoke about the persecution against Christians and I really don't know why they are surprised with the onslaught attacks against them today, especially in the media. Publicly attacking anyone because they are different is just wrong. A poster from another thread hit the nail on the head by saying Jesus never attacked homosexuals while on earth. Yes! we have our 1st amendment right and be prepared to suffer the consequences for them. There are ways to exercise our religious rights beliefs through proper channels & action. Supporters of Duck Dynasty and a food chain restaurant did it the right way. There is a right way & a wrong way. In public & through the media, the key word is R-E-S-P-E-C-T. We are supposed to be converting non-believers not persecuting them.

What is your definition of "attacking homosexuals"? Are you suggesting that if we say that homosexual sex is a sin in need of confession and repentance that is attacking?

If you or any group personally 'degrade' another group publicly, it is considered attacks in this age of political correctness. My views on homosexuality are related to the Scriptures. What has happened is this "publicly declaration war" by Christians against LBGT has badly backfired. Now Christians are on the firing lines and they don't like it. To use the media to put down or degrade another group is just moral wrong and unchristian. A perfect illustration of this the war of the media against minorities groups. Again, we are to be the "salt of the " and walk in the shoes of Jesus. Instead, my Christians are secularized to attack those who don't hold their beliefs. Instead of preaching and spreading the gospel, many are using offensive means to get their points across. And many Christians will be persecuted for their satanic habits & behavior. Most Christians, in my opinion, are lukewarm and should read their bibles again to get a good idea why Jesus died on the Cross.

"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world." (1 John 2:15-16)

Homosexuality is a sin.

A sin is something someone does that harms them.

This is truth. To not say this would be hatred.

I do not believe anyone has said anything bad against homosexuals in these forums that I have seen or remember.

We just do not like to see people hurting themselves or the promotion of something that hurts people

Where do you get your information that a third of the population is gay? SERIOUSLY?
The actual percentage is 3.8%. It is growing at 8.76%. At this current rate the numbers of LGBT are doubling every 8 years. IF a person was born with these tendencies then the percentage should be constant. Not doubling every 8 years.

I don't like what I see being posted when we simply state the
Christian who speaks out against sexual perversion, is made out
to be the wrong. You know what I am doing ? I am throwing
up my arms and say you who like to accuse those of who are simply
discussing what is going on in the news.... how our world is
changing.... I am fed up with the silly notion that "the Christian
is at fault."

Write the President. Thank him for the change he promised to bring.
Well, he brought it... and more. Praise him for being the one who
is causing Christians to be called bigots and racists...

I applaud some on here who have stated the truth in the right way.
I simply don't care what you say or do... it is not racism it is concern
for the homosexual.

to a point maybe, but then people are getting more comfortable with coming out where in the past a lot probably just acted like it wasnt true.
