Looks like I have another company to boycott. Burger King is now offering a "Proud Whopper" to support the gay lifestyle.

Of course, that is their choice, and they are free to support whatever they wish. I'm also free to eat at any restaurant I wish, and I no long wish to eat at a Burger Queen.

Please join me in boycotting them!

Yes I am going to boycott a whole franchise because for a limited time a singular burger king in san francisco is doing something some people may disagree with? Thats right its one burger king in S.F. Unless thats my personal BK I go to regularly, which it isnt, why should i care?

Also, no. We use boycotting too much. Most of the time we aren't entirely sure why we.are boycotting something other than ONE PERSON DID ONE THING THAT WE DON'T LIKE. That's not enough to boycott.

Nautilus & ThomistColin, I realize my little boycott is not going to do too much to hurt Burger King. I disagree, however, that it's ONE person making a bad decision. Marketing campaigns are compiled by teams of people. And they must get the okay from the executives. So, it's also not just one region. One region would NEVER come up with a marketing ploy without the agreement of management.

Therefore, I believe it is a company-wide decision to promote the gay lifestyle. I refuse to spend any money on companies who blatantly flout Christian values.

From USA Today: The Proud Whopper, as it's called, comes wrapped in a rainbow colored wrapper with this inscription: "We are all the same inside." It will be sold through Thursday at one Burger King restaurant on San Francisco's Market Street, that was at the heart of the route for last weekend's 44th annual San Francisco Pride Celebration & Parade.

Literally one restaurant...chances of other people ever seeing the proud whopper? Slim to none:
For the moment, Burger King has no plans to broaden the promotion, Machado says, but notes, "we may consider something even bigger later on."

So people getting irate other one location-specific advertising campaign makes no sense to me. This is about as pointless as the Coca-Cola thread.

Then be prepared to not trade in any goods. Even Hobby Lobby has investments in non-Christian companies.

I do have to admit when someone is right...this statement bears out.....and the bible does teach guilt by association!

Burger King Sells 'Proud Whopper' in San Francisco - ABC News

In this think it says:
Customers were not told what is in the burger, which comes wrapped in rainbow paper. Once opened up, a message inside the wrapper states, "We are all the same inside."
The marketing effort is part of Burger King's push to connect with customers in a more meaningful way, particularly with the younger individuals fast-food chains are known for courting. As part of that push, Burger King recently said it was retiring its "Have It Your Way" slogan in favor of the more personal "Be Your Way" (Ad Age pointed out the phrase was "grammatically challenged").
A rough cut of the two-minute video shows confused customers asking about the Proud Whopper, trying to figure out what makes it different, then later grasping what is happening.
IS this not imposing views on others who may be offended due to their faith? Where is the outrage? Sure, it is just one restaurant, and certainly doesn't apply to me(I don't even have a BK in my town), but how many people have recently voiced their rage and disapproval over a recent SCOTUS ruling about religious rights and corporations? It's wrong to be morally against something in a corporation, but ok to impose wordly views about sexuality on unknowing customers

Could it be possible a day or parade for "a proud cheater" or things like that?

Kids won´t see it that way, unless their parents reinforce something like a boycott or whatever LEGAL thing any think... Recently, one of my sibblings was supporting that movement as "reasonable" or "thy have their rights" so I deactivate my account on FB after telling her a couple of things she should know (just as what she would feel when she sees her daughter kissing in the mouth another lady -inside her own house and room).

It's definitely offensive, but I see that it's San Francisco so no surprise there. They definitely couldn't get away with that in my neck of the woods!
