Nautilus & ThomistColin, I realize my little boycott is not going to do too much to hurt Burger King. I disagree, however, that it's ONE person making a bad decision. Marketing campaigns are compiled by teams of people. And they must get the okay from the executives. So, it's also not just one region. One region would NEVER come up with a marketing ploy without the agreement of management.

Therefore, I believe it is a company-wide decision to promote the gay lifestyle. I refuse to spend any money on companies who blatantly flout Christian values.
If "flout Christian values" means supporting equal rights for my gay brother, then you're gonna have to boycott a BUNCH of companies.

Two of which, are Microsoft and Apple. Looks like you're gonna have to throw away that computer, huh?
And you can't use Facebook or Twitter anymore.
Or eBay, for that matter.
You could go to the store to buy stuff, but Target is one of them too. And Levi's, GAP, American Apparel, Polo Ralph Lauren, JC Penny's.
Well, food. But you can't eat KRAFT, Ben and Jerrys, or Nabisco. Pretty much all major fast food places are pro-gay. Also, Starbucks, Coke and PepsiCo are out. You could try drinking to forget your pain, but Anheuser-Bush and Miller Coors, as well as pretty much all American, Swedish, Canadian, Irish and British liquors companies are out, too.
You could try leaving the country, but don't use JetBlue, American Airlines, or Delta, and don't book your trip through Orbit, and don't use your Citi Bank account or Mastercard to pay for it.

Those are all companies that have outwardly come out in support of gay rights. I don't know what you're gonna do, having to boycott so many products and companies. That's really gonna be tough.

I'm assuming since you support 2 men marrying you wouldn't have an objection to a brother and sister marrying, or 2 brothers, a mother and son, a man marrying as many women as he wants, or a woman having 10 husbands, and if you would in any way be against any of those unions explain why YOUR morality should prevail over somebody elses.

Good point. It becomes a slippery slope into chaos. All sorts of crazy perversions become permitted.

If you don't think there are those who want EQUAL perverse rights as homosexuals have, think again.

  • David Epstein's Lawyer: 'We Have To Figure Out Why Some Behavior Is Tolerated And Some Is Not'

The lawyer representing David Epstein, the Columbia professor accused of sleeping with his daughter, recently spoke out about his client's controversial case.
Epstein was charged last week with one-count of third-degree incest for what was allegedly a consensual three-year sexual relationship with his 24-year-old daughter.
Epstein's lawyer, Matthew Galluzzo, gave comment to ABCNews.com:
"Academically, we are obviously all morally opposed to incest and rightfully so," Galluzzo said. "At the same time, there is an argument to be made in the Swiss case to let go what goes on privately in bedrooms."
"It's OK for homosexuals to do whatever they want in their own home," he said. "How is this so different? We have to figure out why some behavior is tolerated and some is not."
Galluzzo also said that even though Epstein's daughter had emerged as a victim in the case, she could "be best described as an accomplice."
In an interview with the Huffington Post, Galluzzo questioned if prosecuting incest was "intellectually consistent" with the repeal of anti-sodomy laws that resulted from Lawrence v. Texas in 2003. "What goes on between consenting adults in private should not be legislated," he said. "That is not the proper domain of our law."
Galluzzo continued: "If we assume for a moment that both parties [involved in incest] are consenting, then why are we prosecuting this?"

He declined to comment directly on Epstein's case, though in an earlier statement Galluzzo called the charges against the professor "unwarranted and unfair" and proclaimed his client's innocence. "Professor Epstein is well-respected by his peers and students and he asks that his friends in the Columbia community support him and give him the benefit of the doubt during this trying time," he said.
Epstein is currently on administrative leave from Columbia.

I ate a whopper today and felt gay for 30 seconds
So for science, do multiple whoppers increase the duration of this feeling or do they exponentially heighten it? Im curious because maybe I havent eaten all day and just got done playing a sport and really want to eat multiple giant burgers...

This has nothing to do with equal rights. On that note, the restaurant -- in whatever capacity -- is not merely supporting what they consider an equal right, it is celebrating "a people" in and of itself. Conversely if you would like to call it a lifestyle, then it is making an effort to crown that lifestyle; even if it is with a crown made of grease and mystery meat, the point is: Companies, people and even people who call themselves Christian can propose that homosexual individuals be ALLOWED to call themselves married and receive every recognition that comes with such a status, without the super extra-unnecessary decorating of their products, homes or churches in HONOUR of their choices, struggle, natural predisposition, whatever you think I need to call it. I am not saying that they SHOULD or should not decorate and crown. I don't eat, live, or worship there, and in my soul their choices can't possibly bother me either way.

This is why I support the OP in their mindset regarding this issue: I know and love many gay people and none of them want their kids to be gay. None of them think it is okay to encourage the idea of a gay relationship in the minds of little children. I honestly don't care what goes down in San Fran, but I do care about common sense. It's supposed to be a family restaurant. If my business, me bringing my nieces and nephews to eat at such an establishment, means anything at all, I would rather hear about a burger wrapper with a college graduate painted on its face, celebrating higher education. If Apple makes a rainbow i-Touch to celebrate gays (perhaps they have already, and I am unaware?), I will not-so-happily go back to my mp3 player. It is about alignment. But again that is just... me. What they choose/chose doesn't bother or shock me. The fact I have to issue this statement against your little tirade, however, did: Don't get upset or assume we are upset just because we draw lines you do not.

I just sent an email to burger king telling them I passed by their restaurant today for lunch and will every day from now on for their promotion of homosexuality. I asked them what homosexuality had to do with selling burgers. I know this will have little or no effect on the growing evil of today, but letting them know that there are Christians who will still stand for the word of God was the right thing to do. I'd urge others to do the same.
