The courts are debating this right now actually. They did not want this to interfere with the TM trial.

In florida, actually, The statue of limitations is;7 years past the legal age. So 7 years past 18 is 26.

*For Aggravated Rape which involves a weapon, the there is no statue of limitations. I am unaware of how the woman is now.

Under the law of Moses, those who were delivered from Egypt were instructed in Deut 19 that if a person brought an accusation against another and it was found to be a falsehood (or lie), that accuser (or liar) was given the same punishment and judgment that they wanted to exact and see done to the one they falsely accused and lied about. Just think if we had laws in our judicial system that would hold false accusers and those who give false testimony accountable to the same penalty as the accused! I don't think we would be seeing people come out of the wood work bringing railing accusations (even after the fact) like we see so often without any remedy. Do we want to be gullible and believe the accusers at the drop of a hat or do we as Christians want to have integrity and hold accusers to a standard that holds them accountable for their actions of falsehood? The DOJ, along with the cooperation of Angela Corey, is soliciting and conducting a slanderous witch hunt against George Zimmerman and the news media is ready to report any and all slander against this man all in the name of reporting the news and doing their job. We live in a society that makes it very easy to slander another and have that slander believed because of the wickedness and deceit of the human heart.

You know what - I think it's pretty much a bleeding shame that blacks and whites are so seperate even our own neighborhood. You know where blacks and whites are most seperated? In our churches, that's where. Sure theres a sprinkling of churchs integrated, but it's almost laughable that the majority of both our peoples who believe in and praise the same God of Israel, are saved by the same Son, cleansed by the same Holy Spirit, are pro life, and not crazy about the whole gay marriage thing, go to churches that are segregated by color because of false "beliefs" about each other and pretty much nothing else.

If we're going to change it's going to have to start in our church - and that means our heart. Politicians aren't going to do it. They're going to perpetuate it.

Just kinda wonder why its ok for black spokespeople/entertainers to be racist.

Imagine a white country western singer banning concerts in Florida if Zimmerman was found guilty.

The hypocrisy, and double standard of the left has once again shown its ugly head

I am not saying these allegations are false. So don't think I am defending Zimmerman. I just want to know why she has not pressed charges, but laws are different in each state.
The way I look at it is if this woman had come forward then Zimmerman would have probably been in prison. Trayvon would likely be alive today. I am not saying it is her fault that Trayvon was shot, but I can't help but think of other future potential sex abuse victims because this was not reported.

Even then these accusations have nothing to do with the shooting. It sounds horrible, but that is how the justice system works.

Unfortunately, it does seem that children aren't protected under Florida laws. Whether it be murder(Caylee Anthony is one example) and sex abuse.

"In regards to child molestation specifically, there have recently been many changes to the statute of limitations nationwide. Indeed, eleven states have completely removed the limitations for child-sex crimes in the past 10 years. But after the Supreme court ruled that retroactively changing the statute of limitations (in order to prosecute crimes from long ago) was unconstitutional, many states were forced to scrap plans to do just that (Florida was one such state)."

interesting that what in all truthfulness to me (though none of us can really know zimmerman's heart) looks like a horrible, tragic incident that happens pretty much daily all across a country with legal firearms and such....the "courts" once again just happen to be debating the very thing the MEDIA presents as a crucial global issue...they never really treated trayvon with proper respect. they used him.

the showtrial...24/7 hype....serving several purposes at once.

diverting attention from what may be happening between nations or corruption in gov't etc....and....getting people to debate the "issues".

dinner table and workplace debates - always, always pitting one group against another.
a nation divided can not stand (against subversion from within).

I believe it was Chris Rock that said that in a comedy sketch. It was meant as a joke, and a bad joke but he didn't mean that literally
Personally, I believe that was subliminal doubletalk, and that he did mean it literally.
Didn't Obama openly mock the Lord's Word ?

I feel very sorry for Barack, my temporary lost brother. And I have hope the Lord will save him from darkness, soon or later.
For the Lord has the power to set him free from the heretical forces of darkness.

I found this brief interview with Charles Barkley interesting. Click the play video. No more than two minutes long.

Charles Barkley On Zimmerman Trial: "I Agree With The Verdict" | RealClearPolitics
BARKLEY: "....like I said, the main thing I feel bad for, it gives every black and white person who is racist a platform to vent their ignorance.

That's the thing that bothers me the most because I watched this trial closely and I watch all these people are television talking about it. A lot of people have a hidden agenda. You know, they want their racist views, whether they are white or black"

"Larry Klayman, a former U.S. Justice Department prosecutor, a Florida lawyer since 1977, and now the "citizens' prosecutor" who presided over the Ocala grand jury said this: "The Supreme Court has confirmed that the grand jury belongs to the American people, not the three branches of government. (504 U.S. 36, 48 (1992) (quoting United States v. R. Enterprises, Inc., 498 U.S. 292, 297 (1991)). By indicting Florida State Attorney Angela Corey, the people are exercising their God given rights, recognized by our Founding Fathers, to mete out justice when the political and legal establishment subverts the rule of law. Hopefully, this indictment will serve as a warning to the political and legal establishment that they are not above the law. Ironically, Corey will now be tried and likely convicted for her alleged crimes -- which resulted in Zimmerman being charged under false pretenses, now coming home to roost during Zimmerman's on-going trial. Corruption cannot be tolerated, particularly by law enforcement officers who are elected by the people to serve their ends, not the law enforcement officer's political ends."

If we're going to change it's going to have to start in our church - and that means our heart. Politicians aren't going to do it. They're going to perpetuate it.
Well, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said that the most segregated time in the United States is Sunday service. I know that. Other than myself, there are maybe 2 families that are in our churches that are black like I am, there are a few more that are Hispanic, but the definite majority are white. My church is, however, pretty accepting of it all because we know what Galatians 3:28 says "all are one in Christ Jesus". My church is not perfect, though. It will never be perfect. There were pockets of time where I was the only black kid that was in the church. Was it bad at times? Yeah! However, I have just gotten used to that. Here's why.

I grew up in the suburbs, because my parents wanted me in good schools (another effect of segregating). I was basically the only black kid in my peer group in school. Now there were other black kids at my school, but here was the ticker: I was the sellout because I didn't "act black". I was a sellout because I wasn't like the other black people. I didn't wear the fashion, I didn't say the slang, and I wasn't ever a trouble child. I was a docile, nice, little, black boy. That separated me from every other black kid in school. No black kids really wanted to accept me, just like white society didn't accept me much either. That's why I say this: as damaging as it is that black and white segregation is going on, there is still loads of issues with stereotyping. I wasn't the "ghetto hoodlum" kid that all the other black kids were, so they would always say that I wasn't black. To this day, they don't say that I am black because I spoke differently and did not "act black". I did not act "tough" because I'm not a tough guy. Anyone who knows me knows that I am a pretty weak guy. Because of that, I was not a tough guy. That is supposed to be the definition of black.

So I say this: the church has to not only be more integrated, but it also needs to put out a new definition of being black, white, hispanic, Asian, and whatever racial creed a person is. Nobody in church should be a racist, but I know sadly there is plenty of racism that exists. This predominantly happens because nobody can get past the "act black" or "be white" mantra, and just let people be people. People try to fit in by being someone they're not. Church has really been no better, sadly. So many people now don't go to church because they don't want to have to stop wearing hats and Nike shoes to church. This is one point where I say individualism does not hurt. I don't care how people dress (provided they are covered up. No nudist church for me.) But if we just got past appearance and saw them as a potential witness for Jesus, it would be awesome. I assume we wouldn't then care how they dressed, and the racial problems could get cut down.

So I agree wholeheartedly with you, I just wanted to expand on your points, though. Hope I explained myself well.

Our president is even encouraging it to usher in martial law. Like either Rockefeller or Kissinger said all we need is the right major crisis. But I proclaim the victory for the saints in Jesus name. God will preserve his remnant should this breakout.

In south Florida where I live, its a very diversified community.

My church is very diverse.

Why, if you live in a diverse community, isn't your church diverse...?

Kinda mind boggling to me

While Charles Barkley agreed with the verdict, his information is a little off. Zimmerman did not racially profile Trayvon. There was no evidence of racial intent in the trial. None.

I looked it up. This wasn't an actual U.S. authorized Grand Jury but rather Larry from Judicial Watch put together a "grand jury" of some of his friends. So it has no legal basis but was just an exercise in ethics. Belay my comment.

It can get really interesting, especially for mixed-race people. I have two friends that are half black and half white. They both look Caucasian and you would never know they were half black. One is married to a Jewish woman. All three are completely accepted wherever they go by whites because they look white... lol.

Now I have another friend that is half black and half white but he looks all black. Most whites act no differently toward him as us, when he joins us, but some certainly do. Yet he grew up in white America same as the rest of us and his culture, education, and behavior is the same as ours. The only difference is the color of his skin.

The same holds true for the few whites I've known that have grown up in almost all black neighborhoods. They act black because that's their culture, how they were raised, the education they received, etc... and they have the same problems just in the reverse.

My hypothesis is that if we all shared the same culture exactly (communication, behavior, etc...), things would go a lot smoother. If we all shared the same religion and culture, things would go a HELLA lot smoother!

Not being together in Christ separates us. Not having the same culture separates us. These two failures lead to problems everyday.

For example, I don't act black. I once had a fist fight with a black in Simi Valley that certainly DID at a party because he kept calling me the N word and after about 20 times I told him I wasn't a N***** and so he proceeded to try and take my head off with a right hook. We tore that house up. Crazy no?

Later, another black friend told me that he was saying nigga as in my nigga as in it wasn't an insult! I didn't know! But that's what I'm talking about. People are against each other on race primarily because of what has come to be a stark difference in culture in my opinion with not being in Christ together a major factor in that.

I know I'm rambling but these are some of my thoughts.
