Actor Randy Quaid detained trying to cross border in Vermont



HIGHGATE, Vt. – American actor Randy Quaid was taken into custody Friday night while trying to cross into the United States from Canada, Vermont State Police said.

The "Independence Day" actor was detained by troopers at the Highgate Springs port of entry days after Canadian officials said he would be deported. Quaid is wanted in Santa Barbara, California, to face felony vandalism charges filed in 2010 after he and his wife, Evi, were found squatting in a guesthouse of a home they previously owned.

The pair skipped several court appearances and went to Canada, where Evi Quaid was granted citizenship. Randy Quaid's bid to gain permanent residency was denied.

Quaid told the AP, from a Canadian detention center in Laval, Quebec that he just wants to resolve his issues in California and "get on with my life." Evi applied for and was granted Canadian citizenship, but Randy was denied by Canadian Immigration.

Funny (not really) as I just watched a video done a few years ago where he was talking and exposing the evil doings behind the movie and music industry.

He was speaking and talking about how anybody that speaks up against the industry they turn and smear there name and trump up charges against them to end their carriers. He then started naming other actor's and actresses the industry destroyed their carriers because they were going to expose them.
