Werent you just accusing me of using a straw man yesterday? I guess it's cool if you do it eh?
This isn't a straw man... Me thinks you don't know the meaning of the word.

"im not offended by trump. Ive hears guys say much worse than he did"

Her reason for not being offended by Trump's words is because she "hears guys say much worse". So by using this false logic, why should we be offended by anything ISIS does when we know Hitler and Mussolini have done way worse?

Being offended by someone's words is irrelevant to what someone else has or hasn't said. It probably went over your head though.

Yeap..people like you are the reason that Germans have such a bad name everywhere
Uhm that wasnt a personal attack..it was a observation..
It was both an observation and a personal attack.

Part of why I took a little break from these forums is because people refuse to treat each other as brothers and sisters in Christ. I get politics and religion can get people heated. I would say those are the people that should be taking the break... the ones can't discuss politics without being respectful (see: Desdichado and Posthuman as great examples of how to correspond with one another). This isn't directed to just one person by the way. I just hope we can discuss substantive issues and not sling mud.

You are an extremely intelligent woman who can tear people's arguments apart. However, try adding a tiny bit of honey and I bet people who disagree with you will have an easier time processing what you have to say.

I appreciate the constructive criticism. I do say it like it is and I think I could definitely word my points in a more receptive way. By the way, where the heck have you been?!

Imo Demi should not change a thing about who God made her. She is one of the most efficient critical thinkers on this forum. Don't fix what's not broke as we say in Texas.

Naw, I don't think you're dumb at all in all honesty. I think you sometimes look at things from one point of view and are unaware of your double-standards. If you were dumb, I probably wouldn't even respond to anything you had to say because it wouldn't be worth my time.

Most folks have double standards, it's how we get by. Problem is whenever we start denying those double standards. My observation is that all of the posters here, myself included, are displaying double standards on an, almost, daily basis. However, it's very pleasant pointing out this flaw in another persons logic. I think the Holy Bible is speaking of this as well:) So feel free to use double standards, but keep in mind it's a two way street.

I don't get upset when people call me names anymore. I have been called many horrible things and have learned what others think about me doesn't matter. However, I do get upset when I see people running around murdering people. I do see your point, but I am not sure she meant it in the way you are taking it.

If you pointed out a legitimate double-standard of mine I would own it. The times you have tried weren't legitimate though... like the straw man argument. I clearly explained how I didn't use a straw man argument.

To help you out, one of my double-standards is I am extremely pro-life, but I want Sanders over Hillary/Trump. My only rebuttal is that the Supreme Court is the ones that can turn Roe v Wade, but I still know it's wrong that Sanders supports abortion.

I had a dream the other morning. Long story short I watched my son take a 100 foot fall. In the dream I heard his head smack on the ground. Without hesitation I jumped after him. Didn't even think about it. When I hit the the ground it jolted me awake. I thought about it all day long. What is is the significance of watching my son die I asked myself. Later in the day it dawned on my what I did was more significant than what happened to him. That without hesitation I would go after him no matter what the consequences were for me. I fight for my sons future and I want a country for him to grow up and thrive in.

I would think you'd like the all style and no substance seeing as you're a Trump supporter.

He didnt brag about it. He made clear that he had no chance. Plus if a woman will let you kiss her she most likely will let you touch her as well. Its not like people sign a contract b4 having sex.

Uhm.....NO
A kiss is not the same as touching private areas

nor is it the same as intercourse, which I assumed Trump was alluding to.
they are two very different things,
Rapes happen when people assume this, and don't take no for an answer precisely because they think that "If she was ok with a kiss that must mean she wants to ......." and yes, people do think that, there's been a lot about it on the radio lately.

That's actually very sweet of you to share this dream about your child. I believe you would do anything to save your child.

On a side note, I'd hate for Trump to reveal his "dreams" about his child (Ivanka)... something tells me it won't be as sweet and endearing as yours.

It is not only women who are offended by Trump:

[h=1]Anti-Defamation League CEO Warns That Trump’s Rhetoric Evokes Anti-Semitic Tropes[/h]Source: Mediaite

Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt warned on Twitter Thursday that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump‘s rhetoric was bordering on tropes historically used to ferment hatred of Jews.

In a Thursday speech, Trump argued that Hillary Clinton “meets in secret with international banks to plot the destruction of U.S. sovereignty,” in order to enrich “global international powers,” an apparent reference to her paid Wall Street speeches. He added that “media enablers control over this nation through means that are very well known.”

Greenblatt argued in a tweet that the notion that “international bankers” and the media were secretly planning the destruction of America is dangerously close to common anti-Semitic claims.

.@TeamTrump should avoid rhetoric&tropes that historically have been used ag. Jews & still spur #antisemitism. Lets keep hate out of cmpgn

It is only too obvious that Trump hates everybody who dares to disagree with him. But at least nobody on this forum is saying he represents "moral, Christian values" anymore. ;)
