Jesus did not teach complacency.
No, He didn't, neither did He teach us to worry about who is the President, or King. The Caesar and kings and governors in His day were far worse than anything in the US or Canada, yet He taught us to "give unto Caesar the things that belong to Caesar". If you think the money in your bank account belongs to you then you are a fool, not hearing what Jesus taught. Every dollar, every currency on earth has the name of the one that it belongs to. It is not yours. You may think you own a house, but that house is inside of a country that is also not yours. The government has the right to seize it any time they see fit. The lesson from last week is not "Donald Trump is stupid because of the tariffs" nor is it "Donald Trump had to do something about the trade deficit" nor is it even about "the US owes $36 trillion and the time has come to pay your debts". No, the lesson from yesterday is that it is all vanity, it can be gone in an instant. We have not been called to have houses, bank accounts, or any of these other things. We have been called to preach the gospel to a world lost in sin. It doesn't matter if they democrats, republicans, Americans, Canadians, Nazis or Islamic extremists. Anything else is vanity.

After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it.

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

A morose King a theology does not make. I will leave it at that.

A conspiracy Christian who may or may not be joking about conspiracies does not make good theology.
I will also leave it at that.

At least Solomon didn't have Alex Jones in his day to cloud his judgment and reaction.

Yup, the King states we are going to use a brick to remove a brain tumor and the crowd cheers!!

"We have no King but Caesar."

Blessed be Caesar.
Oh, but the killing of the children at Sandy Hook was fake because Alex Jones told me so.

Ah i see.
You do the classic thing that a few folks in the Protestant denomination do.
Take one verse and build a church around it while ignoring other verses.

Okay, if you want to focus on that, go and help out the person who was kicked out "illegally" and give him comfort in his "friendly" neighbourhood while ignoring people here in USA such as the eldery or even kids who have no food because you support some liberal talking point.

But you're also not a Christian, right? You're kinda assuming the role of the armchair critic here while many churches send missionaries in many areas of the world where the missionaries and the families could lose their lives.
I'm not Muslim either but I can read the Quran and understand what it says.
Jesus literally said if you neglect the poor it's just like you're doing it to him.

I know conservatives are allergic to accountability but rule of law is a thing.
The guy had legal refugee status and was deported without due process

Also you just contradicted yourself. First you claimed that Jesus didn't say we should help the poor and then you said we should help poor Americans. Which is it?

It my understanding and confirmed by the constitution that every person is afforded due process, it does not state every citizen.
It is also my understanding there are years of jurisprudence to support this.
This is why Guantanamo Bay prison has always been so contentious.

The Fifth Amendment, for example, states that “No person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.”

And the Fourteenth Amendment uses the Due Process Clause that describes the legal obligation of all state governments to provide equal protection of the laws to all persons, regardless race, sex, religion, or other characteristics, and prohibits states from depriving any person of life, liberty, or property without due process of law

That believers (Christians) should care for the poor is throughout scripture.

So, we're all called to be itinerant preachers because the rapture's tomorrow...

Ok, and this means what then according to you?

I know conservatives are allergic to accountability but rule of law is a thing.
The guy had legal refugee status and was deported without due process
Maybe. Maybe not as much as the liberals.
But, are you a lawyer? Because i'm not a lawyer. Explain to me his legal status and how was it revoked in relations to what.

Also you just contradicted yourself. First you claimed that Jesus didn't say we should help the poor and then you said we should help poor Americans. Which is it?
I didn't contradict myself but you didn't read and since you're not Christian you didn't understand either.
Here are some level points so you can get your bearings right.

* If you want to help the poor then you're also a conservative Christian who confuses politics with God.
Why you might wonder?
I'll explain why.
Some Christians in USA and other countries want to create Christian nationalism and Christian armies. This is the very stuff that you hate from reading some of your posts.
So, by doing this they claim that this is the Kingdom of God. The Christian military and army.
This is actually not even close to what the Bible says because we can't bring the Kingdom of God here, only God can.
They do this because they pull certain verses out of the Bible, just like you did and ignore everything else.
Now, the reason i mentioned the miracles to you is because if we literally do or copy what the Kingdom of God is supposed to be on Heaven and try to do that on Earth it would mean that the nations have no boarders and food is unlimited.
This is also impossible since we're not Gods or anointed by God to provide resources for all the poor in the world.
Makes sense? Are you all cought up now? What's the lesson here? Don't be a legalist, take one line out of the Bible to support a liberal point just like the trans take a few lines out of the Bible to support their sins, or how some people take some lines out of the Bible to support guns.

Finally as a non-Christian spectator in this forum, where are your solutions instead of being a critic?
Because everyone is a critic. What solutions do you offer when i told you how skewed the "justice" system was under the liberals.
Also, another question: You don't like this administration?
Run for office yourself or try to find a candidate that will beat Trump!
Let me know when that happens.

Why don't you come argue this in a court of law?
Ooooh that's right, you're a Canadian citizen!

It means exactly what it says. Help the poor.
Ask for guns, Jesus instructed his disciples to go out and purchase swords. From the context of that conversation, there's no reason to believe he was speaking metaphorically

When someone has legal refugee status you can't just revoke it without due process, or at least they're not supposed to be able to do that.

The solutions I would suggest will be first not to deliberately tank the economy with tariffs And start unnecessary trade wars.

I see that you like to play a bit of hide and seek too.
Happens when folks are cornered with logical questions.
I asked you a lot of questions which you avoided. So now i'm not sure how to respond to you. Seriously? Somewhat seriously? Jokinly?
