I have seen/heard him say positive things about Christianity before, perhaps especially as compared to Islam. He is one smart cookie when it comes to their ideology, not being fooled by the usual "Islam is a religion of peace" :poop:, and he is not the only non-believer or atheist to hold such views. There is hope yet.

Maher has tried to avoid going into Leftist extremism or Wokeism and is willing to critisize all the Leftist nonsense. But the problem with these partial Democrats is that they have all failed to see that under Biden the Democratic Party has become Marxist/Communist/Fascist/ Racist/Anarchist all that the same time. Lawless Communists Obama and Sanders are really behind this major shift. Now Kennedy Jr is trying to straddle the fence, but that simply won't work. The days of John F. Kennedy's Democratic Party are long gone.

I don't know a lot about American politics. I came across Bill Maher on the CBN web site. I've discovered a lot more since subscribing to this forum as politics is much discussed. I get the impression that both sides of politics have moved further from the centre. It also seemed to me that people voted for Mr Trump because he was not Hilary Clinton. And if America is relying on a politician to "MAGA", I think that hope is very much misplaced. It is God who makes nations great, not men.

Agreed. I believe MAGA is more about economic greatness, inventiveness, innovation, and ingenuity. It is also about restoring the manufacturing capability of the USA, and total self -sufficiency in oil and gas. But Trump was not totally consistent either. It is God who did make America the greatest free nation in the world, with its sound Constitution and God-fearing Founding Fathers (at least many if not most of them). It was the leader of the free world until the domestic Communists took charge. The Founding Father never dreamt that some day the USA would be ruled by lawless criminals.
