How sad. Body armor used to only be for the military in war zones or law enforcement. Now it's for little children at schools.
Before folks go speaking against a certain right, keep in mind that right existed for 200ish years without this problem. The problem isn't the right, it's the hearts of certain people. When the hearts of certain people go wrong, we then seek to deny certain rights. When hearts go dark, and are unable to handle rights, people eventually seek to take away those rights.

...and we hid under our desks to protect us from nuke blasts.

This is what happens when we listen to fear.

Yeah but the Russians never nuked us in the 50s-70s because they knew Reagan would be president in the 1980s, and they knew he'd say take down that wall, and their foresight of that caused them to quake in their boots. Let's face it, Reagan is the ONLY reason they never attacked.

Truly sad to see the type of youth we're transforming kids into.

Lol..I knew I would shake the cage by saying that but us Aussies have a vastly different mentatlity about guns. When we hear about the massacres, we just shake our heads and say when will they learn.

When will it reach a point where the needs of the many outweigh the whims of the few ?

We have had these rights for 200+ years without these problems.
The problem isn't with the rights, it's with the people.

I wish any see how things are going on here: There are sighs everywhere "DO NOT WEAR GUNS", though criminals and people in ruling position wear them out as free as the can...

I´m thinking I´m going to use it!

exactly. As anyone with a brain can see "gun free zones" and "gun control" have worked out so well for so many places.. Chicago has had "gun control" for years and look how violent it is.

Gun Free Zone = Criminals target this place nobody will fight back
Gun Control = Only criminals have guns, good citizens just be a good citizen dial 911 and die waiting for help..

At least if EVERYONE is armed, then its mutually assured destruction. You decide to go on a shooting rampage, 1st shot fired you will have shots fired right back at you and rampage will be ended.

No guns tends to keep guns only in the hands of the wrong people.

1. Power hungry and oppressive governments.
2. Criminals and evil-doers.

How is keeping innocent people disarmed against that remotely compassionate?

Now in countries like Australia and European countries, number two probably doesn't apply. Those nations don't have has many guns to round up. But in America there are millions of guns to round up, and in that scenario, no guns would truly leave guns in the hands of law breakers, criminals, and evil-doers. Given that scenario, it's best to let good folks keep their guns.

There is a reason the gun laws work in Australia for the most part. There is also a reason those same laws would be unjust to the innocent here. There are simply too many guns here to round up. We can't point to Australia as a viable example to be followed.

Thats what the loony left want. Of course the loony left fall in category #1 and will use #2 to get people disarmed.

Indeed. Astute observation. Apparently a society in rebellion against God, His holiness, and His design for humanity results in far less desirable results. Well stated.

Firearms are easy to make. You can make a repeating 12 gauge shotgun in an afternoon from parts at the local hardware store not to mention IEDs, etc... One need look no farther than Mexico to see what a colossal failure strict gun control is.

Not a difficult equation to work out. The fact they're themselves deceived is besides the point which is that 1 + 2 = a ridiculously unsafe and oppressive situation for the rest of us.
