Seems Chick wants to pander to the masses. :(
I think you're right Lenna. I wish he would just do his job and cook. Just as I wish pro athletes would just do their job and entertain us for a while. Football players - just play football. Fast food joints - just cook. Race car drivers - just drive. Singers sing. Actors act.I frankly do not need you to explain politics to me and I care little about what you think politically. Please just hush and do you jobs.

Uh, there is a surplus created...what is done with that surplus makes a statement.

Even someone that has an extra 1,000 spending money per year and buys the newest phone makes a statement.

I think people here are drawing attention to the statement itself and unless you are super private in your life (and I mean incredibly secretive) others will draw attention to your statements when there is a lot of capital involved AND depending on the statement.

"what is done with that surplus makes a statement. "

Yes it does and if they wish to continue making surplus, don't grandstand like Cathy has done because
quite a few of us simply do not care and see such a display for what it is - pandering.

Bubba Wallace is the latest to grandstand over a supposed racial incident. His paraphrased comment was sort of
"It would wrong for me to not use my platform (NASCAR) to bring attention to racism." He got it backwards. It's wrong
to use your platform (NASCAR) for anything political. You are an entertainer, a race car driver. Drive your car, do your job
and entertain us for a little while. You need us, the fans - we do not need you
