I think God has always been at work in our communities its just much of it has been hampered by those who are anti-community and put profits over people...corruption and bureaucracy basically.
I think lockdown has given people a chance to rebuild connections with their own families and households and neighbours, that were maybe lacking before.
Yes. I have a feeling it is also a time of pruning; when God is separating things that ought not to be together, in order to hinder evil and progress His own purposes. A purging; scripture says judgment begins first with the household of God. I certainly feel hindrances are being purged away and unfruitful relationships.

its funny how this virus has indirectly been answering so many prayers.

Because of lockdown, churchgoers havent been meeting at church buildings BUT believers have been worshipping in their own homes. Because of this neighbours are noticing Christians in action more and more, rather than us believers deserting the neighbourhood on sundays. aNd those who staff churches have been having prayer and devotionals EVERYDAY. something some never did before lockdown. You would go to a church to maybe find a place to pray only to find it shut or only open for 'church business' during the week.

Church business was spent more doing admin then actually praying! Not that theres anything wrong with admin as it is needed and essential but admin often doesnt translate into action when it turns into bureucracy! so by cutting the red tape, this frees up a lot of believers to act with initative an where the spirit leads instead of having to always get permissions or whatever to do stuff.

Wow, so right Lanolin! You put into words what I was feeling but couldn't articulate so neatly. 'Home Hubs' in each neighbourhood is what came to me a few years ago when suddenly, over Christmas, the new neighbours downstairs invited the near neighbours for drinks, including the other new neighbours across the road. Some declined, but I suddenly realised that most of us in that room, including both sets of new neighbours were all believers, and that's when it hit me, and I realised what the Lord wanted to do, join the Community of Believers in each neighbourhood in fellowship to be visible to those around - a clear manifestation of the Body in action. Jesus said, did He not, that they would know us by our love and that the world would believe God had sent Him, by our love for one another. Today is another opportunity ... today when I woke up and looked out of my window, I saw two emergency ambulances, and NHS (National Health Service) staff in the full regalia with all their kit, and realised something was up with the neighbours across the road from me. Shortly after another Rapid Response/Emergency Airlift vehicle arrived (and later still, a Police car and a Black car). Later I found out that my neighbours's husband had suddenly died this morning, not sure whether it was Coronavirus or some other cause or a combination, but they obviously took the body away. Later I saw the wife crying on the doorstep with her near neighbours around her. The deceased was a believer as is his wife, so he is now with the Lord, but it was obviously a terrible shock for her. And it obviously brought home to us in this small street, the suddenness of death and the reality of the pandemic. Now is a good time to pray for the salvation of those in the street, as well as for the poor widow. I think we were all really shocked. I am not sure who else is a christian but the people who own the downstairs flat are, and the people next door to them, so we will see what God will do. The local church will be praying for the bereaved woman and probably reaching out. This kind of thing must be happening all over.

Churches may be opening up here again this week, well my church might be anyway and everyone can be together again.
accoding to orthodox calendars...Pentecost is this coming week. Others celebrated last week.

Hi there, Pentecost has come and gone. There have been a few UK National Zoom prayer for the nation initiatives, including around Pentecost and another one this morning by Intercessors for Britain. Church buildings are still not open here and I see petitions going round to urge the Government to do so. But I wonder if we are in danger of missing what GOD HIMSELF may be wanting to do, and people who are used to not thinking for themselves may just be wanting to go back to the old and familiar rather than Stop and Listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying to God's own people. Perhaps some of them are not Christ's sheep and cannot, therefore, hear His voice or discern it from the other voices. It reminds me of a quote of Christ about wineskins: some said: "the old is better" and didn't want the new. From one of our national prayer days, this came from the person who led it: she said the Lord had told her recently, "the New has come". Therefore, we need to press into the thing that God is doing these days, and leave the blind to lead the blind if they will not hear and come.

I would rather worship outside then stuck inside a building with a limit of numbers cos it does seem the Holy spirit likes to be pour out on the people who are free. Maybe on a mountain top or beach or park might be a good place.

nz is now at level 1 so no more restrictions...church is all on this sunday...!!!
My home group is meeting up again.

and interesting thing about the pruning that was one of the lessons my new life group talked about this week in zoom meeting.

Lets pray our gatherings are joyful and reviving this week. we are so thankful, other parts of the world are not so blessed. It hasnt been easy for many, and we need to reach out to those whove now lost their jobs or been having a stressful time in lockdown and after lockdown.

one of the things about pruning is it can be painful. But God is the expert gardener and knows by pruning, we will bear more fruit. so its got to be good.

Here, where I live in the UK, many local communities and streets are coming together in new ways, getting to know and supporting one another during this Coronavirus pandemic. So far over 30,000 have died and we are still in a critical phase. We are still in lockdown here (6 weeks now), only able to leave our homes (if under 70 and not in the extremely vulnerable category) for food, medical reasons, or emergency or short exercise. On Sundays the people in the row of terraced houses (about 10 of them) across the street, come out about 4 pm with their cup of whatever, to greet one another - at a distance - after the family in the middle of the have entertained us with their brass instruments (father, mother and children) and possibly other musical residents as well. I watch from my first floor window and have conversations and now know my near neighbours a lot better. I discovered that the tenants in one of the ground floor flats are christians and they kindly offered to do shopping for me last week. God seems to be joining His family in new and more meaningful and authentic ways, and delivering us from the doctrines, commandments and traditions of men that have hindered His Body for so long. Yesterday was the anniversary of Victory in Europe Day when World War II ended on 8th May 1945. I went for a walk and noticed that several streets had bunting up (right across the street in one case) and people had tables and chairs out on the gardens and pavements and were feasting and toasting at a safe distance from their neighbours. In my small corner, we are thinking about having a street party when this is all over. I am also meeting new people - new believers - online in my area; up to now it has been very difficult to fit into the rhythm of "churchianity" with an autoimmune illness and low energy, but Zoom meetings are making life so much easier for the disabled or housebound and now they are getting INCLUDED INSTEAD OF EXCLUDED. The Lord be praised for what He is doing. He is Lord of ALL!
It's nice that the communities come together, and that is what the government wants, but their purpose will end in disaster.

When Agenda 21/30 goes in to affect which the nations are in agreement then everyone is taken out of the rural areas, and placed in the city where technology monitors the streets, and the people become the law in the communities.

No development can be done outside the city limits.

That is why they are looking at social programs instead of the police.

I read today that Camden, New Jersey, already got rid of the police force, and the chief of police was walking with the protesters.

The American government wants the protests for equality, and against police brutality, for it is time to put everyone equal, and ban the police, and cause Agenda 21/30 to go in to affect, and produce the New Age Christ.

For they do not believe he will help the world to achieve peace and evolve until the nations come together as one to work for peace on earth.

And they are allowing the people to make the choice to be equal starting with the protests, but their plan to produce the New Age Christ started with the coronavirus, and controlled conflict brings about controlled change.

When they remove all public display of prejudice whatever it is and make it illegal to display prejudice then the American government will put aside their differences, and be one, and the nation will be as one equally.

Then the nations will follow suit for they are part of the plan, and then the nations will come together as one being equal.

Agenda 21/30 will go in to affect, and the New Age Christ will establish peace in the Middle East, and push the agenda of the new age movement to prepare the world for when he claims to be God by evolving to be greater and spiritual through nature.

Then everyone will be in the cities, and the communities handle the law.

Agenda 21/30 will take control of everything including bank accounts, assets, land, and whatever people own, and people only go by their needs.

They will be equal economically as well for anything that exalts itself above another person is not tolerated, and they are equal.

Money and material causes people to exalt themselves above another, so they only get their needs.

Which the stimulus check in America is a pattern for basic income for people to meet their needs.

America did it, they achieved world domination, which they know as a nation they cannot rule the world, but they caused their ways, and what they wanted for the world to happen.

The freedoms of America was part of the plan for they had to have the freedoms first, and then take them away and have a communistic type system for that is what they wanted all along.

On the back of the dollar bill, announcing the conception of a new order of the ages, and out of many, one.

Once the nations come together people are not dealing with their nation anymore, but they are dealing with the world, and they are not playing.

Play time is over.

Fun time is over.

People only get their needs and that is it, and they do not care to give you freedoms to enjoy your wants.

And it starts with the coronavirus, and they want developed nations to economically collapse for all is equal, and they want to show all is equal by them economically collapsing.

And they do not care about money for evolving to be greater and spiritual is better to them, and will spend their last dime to achieve their kingdom.

And they will not care about a profit at that time, and give people a basic income, and when they spend the money it goes to the money pool, and then back to the people.

And they want to limit resources so there probably is no entertainment that uses electricity, and resources, that is not a necessity to live.

It is nice the communities want to come together, but that is what the nations want for it will be the communities in the future that will keep the law, and cause their community to operate smoothly.

America is ready to put all people as equal, and remove all public display of prejudice, and going to ban the police when Agenda 21/30 goes in to affect, and maybe before that like Camden, New Jersey.

well america is a completely different kettle of fish to the UK. The UK stands for UNITED KINGDOM.
In other countries, they unite for peace. In america it seems they unite for war.

communism would probably be ideal for america since capitalism isnt working out that great for them!
the richer states could then help out the poorer states since that hasnt been happening (hurricane katrina anyone? )

UK actually doesnt have a King. They have a Queen.

So its a bit of a misnomer, but the Queen is a christian. Despite being one of the wealthiest woman of the entire world...she actually does her duties as reigning monarch without too much strife. even those who are lawless respect her. Because she has earned their respect.
